meh, lightning+ boots boost flight time which is handy because you spend like all of your time in the air in hardmode edit: the boosted ascent speed is nice, i will admit, but i just find flight time to be far more valuable

@@trocodiliac2405 It’s significantly less than a second. Even if it wasn’t, the ascent speed buff is so substantial that you still go higher even if you’re not in the air longer.

@@purplehaze2358 it's 0.7 seconds (70 "flight time") of added flight which makes quite a difference in a game where flight time is measured in centiseconds, not to mention that terraspark have you running at 38 mph (no other accessories) and amphibians have you at 30. the ascent speed is nice, i wont deny that, but like i said before, the flight time is just more valuable to me because anything past like frost wings has a significant ascent speed as is and isnt really going to be more beneficial with more speed. its also worth mentioning you can use your hook to get off the ground faster than even amphibian boots will have you moving, combined with the slime mount for fast descent speed. another key thing is the fact that you gain water walking, lava walking, lava immunity, and immunity to fire blocks. if you prefer amphibians, thats perfectly fine, but those are just the reasons i don't necessarily believe amphibians are "better"

​@@trocodiliac2405 1) 0.7 seconds of extra flight time is like, 2 blinks of a human eye. That does not 'make quite a difference'. 2) Both of your speed stats for them were incorrect. The amphibian boots' max speed is 31 miles per hour and the terraspark boots' max speed is 34 miles per hour. Hope that 3 MPH of extra run speed (a statistic whose relevance dwindles the further you get into progression) is worth losing 48% faster ascent speed to you. 3) Grappling hooks require a surface to latch onto within the immediate vicinity of the player - something that, again, loses relevance as one progresses in the game. Meanwhile, frog leg and its upgrades give you better ascent speed for free. 4) Immunity to fire and lava and the ability to walk on liquids are all things you can get more effectively without sacrificing a precious accessory slot by just using potions - and, as all those things are very situational, the "but potions have limited durations" argument is hardly convincing.

yes you can, fight evil boss, but don't kill it, just defeat a few segment from EOW/ eye from BoC, and get the tissue samples/demon scales and farm the ore from EoC, and craft the evil picks, and mine the hellstone. ez

well the granite armor set bonus reduces movement speed, an extra 5 defense just isn't very worth it.
