Thank you for this video. I can't speak for everyone, but I know there are us out here that grew up without a father figure or handy mother to teach us these things. I have my own family now, and I appreciate videos like this. 👍
@@TheImprovementChannel Thank God I found your channel I’m about to purchase my 43 inch for my room and the guy want to charge me 100 bucks so I’m the type of person if I can figure it out why pay and I can do it myself glad I found your channel👍🏿
I’m 60 years old… Not that it Matters but we were taught to drill a ( Pilot ) hole first to avoid splitting the stud. As per your video, you’re better than I am and half my age LOL you do good work my man your video taught me to do exactly that to our new 40’’ Roku Hisense. 100wX200L. Will be installing it tonight.thank you again. Be well
The 42 Inch Roku TV’s are only $88 at Walmart tomorrow (11/4)!! Watched this video just because of early Black Friday sales lol Great Video very easy installment!!
Thank you for the excellent tutorial. You did a great job of explaining everything in detail. It was my intention to have a professional mount a 42" TCL TV on our guest bedroom wall. However, after watching your video, I decided to try and do the job myself. I mounted it today using a Perlesmith bracket (similar) to yours. Thanks to you, everything worked out fine. I even used another bracket to mount a soundbar under the TV. You're a better man than me though because I had to have help from my wife with positioning the wall bracket and holding it in place while I drilled.
Way to go for it Mac! Great to hear everything worked out on the install. I bet the set up with a sound bar mounted under it looks awesome! I hope you subscribed! Look forward to hearing from you again soon!
Got a TV for Christmas and because the legs are on the sides, it’s way too wide for the surfaces in my room- thank you for this!! I’m buying a mount tomorrow
The tutorial was extremely helpful but what was the small thing attached to the power drill? I think I’m going to need one but my power drill didn’t come with one
Thank you so much! Will the stud find show me where the center of the stud is? Is that what the flashing arrow at the top represents? I'm old but think this is doable thanks to your good explanations. I'm going to order these from your links today.
Thank you for this video! Can I ask what size screws went into the back of the tv? I was gifted a second hand tv with the wall mount and we are missing those screws, so I am trying to figure out what size they are. It's a Samsung hospitality tv HJ670U series if that helps!
Thanks for the video! I looking to buy a similar mount, but my stud isn't in the center of the wall. Will the TV stick out a lot if I want to center it over the TV unit?
On this mount yes but larger mounts will let you slide the tv from side to side to center so shop around for n Amazon. The link in the description will get you started.
No, the lag screws have to go in studs. You need at least 2 lag screws going into 1 stud if it is a smaller tv like the one I installed here. If it is larger you need to line it up to catch 2 studs with 1 lag bolts per stud. Otherwise it is very likely the tv will eventually pull out of the wall and the whole system will fall to the floor
I have a 65” TCL I would use a heavier duty mount. If you click on the mount in the description it will take you to Amazon. Then select that you have a 65” tv and it should tell you the one to get.
Hello Thank you so much. It looks harder than it is👏👏👏👏👏 Could I do this same technique inside of a piece of furniture? I want to put my 36 inch flat screen inside of a wall unit cabinet…?
The back of the cabinet will need to thick wood and strong for that to work. If you can pull the cabinet out you should use bolts with washers and nuts.
Awesome tutorial. hi i bought roku tv 43" and a hang onn full motion tv wall mount 32-47". VESA 400x400mm up to 77 LBS,. does this wall mount fit on the Roku 43"? but it say's in the back of the tv is "vesa mount size is 200x100mm". i hope you can response. i appreciate it. Godbless.
Hey buddy I have a quick question, the thing you use to hold the lag screws and drill to the wall, you said it’s called a half inch drive is there another name for it? Is it called lag screws adapter? I can’t find it online. Thanks for your help
NO ONE IS ANSWERING THIS QUESTION, BUT ILL TELL YOU- THE SAME SCREWS YOU REMOVED FROM THE FEET WITH FIT INTO THE MOUNT AND BACK OF TV- THATS WHAT I DID TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM 🤷🏾♂️
I am guessing you are talking about the lag screws. Mine has magnets so it stays in there. I bet you were able to get it going. If not try pre drilling or start the lag bolt without holding the mount. Then back it out and do it again while holding the mount. One you have the first bolt in you will have an easier time with the next ones.
Can anyone answer me this, I have a tv stand with a mount thingie on it an I am trying to figure out what type of mount thing I need for the back of my tv never messed with mounting. I'm trying to figure out this whole thing so we dont gotta buy a new tv stand an just use the one with the mount but I dont know how to hook it up or what type my roku needs I dont need a wall mount since my TV has a mount to put the tv on
You want to use what is there to mount it to the wall. You will not quite have everything you need for what is there now. If you click the link in the description you will see the mount I used. It will come with all the need hardware and it is pretty inexpensive.
I watched a bunch of these videos no one ever tells what size screw goes into the back of the TV do you know? I have a 24 in tv and Wall mount but I lost the screws since the last time I had a TV hanging from it I do not want to buy a whole new wall mount for 4 screws that go into the back of the TV and I’m having a hard time finding the exact right fit screw….
They are metric screws. The mount comes with at least 3 different sizes. I have hung a lot of these and many are different. If you buy the mount it should have the screws you need.
Speaking is someone who is completely inexperienced and has seen your video as the first result on Google search, you edited it out the part where you screw the mount into the TV and that's what I came here for. And thusly it has received a down vote but I love your enthusiasm
Interesting, the mount will come with several different sizes of screws and screw lengths to fit whatever your TV uses. It will also have several holes in the mount where everything will line up. If you can handle everything else in the video this part will be smooth sailing.
