What setup did you use?

@@zaito5567 Pre-mech boss (8 slots) - Spider armor - summoning potion, bewitching table and Flask of Crumbeling - Summoner Emblem - The First Shadowflame - Jelly-Charged Battery - Charm of Myths (you can switch this with the Grand Gelatin, so have Grand Gelatin on until you heal, then Switch out to the Charm of Myths, if this is a bit much during the fight, just use Charm of Myths on it's own) - Counter Scarf - Fairy Wings - Firecracker /or/ Cool Whip (use Cool Whip on Destroyer, but for everything else, Firecracker is better if you can be close) - Black Hawk Remote (2) (with Ichor Bullets) - Sanguine Staff (6)

Mirror of Kalandra is 1 oth the best if not the best summoner weapon in terms of dps for the amount of summon slots used. While Sauros Possession is the absolute worst, having the average dps of a providence tier weapon, and takes 8 slots, making it the 2nd most slots used by a minion. This "guide" is just very odd and missing a lot of good things and just having bad ones, and the quality of info on the current state of calamity is very poor.

I'd say going for Ancient Ice Chunk, so you can kill Aquatic Scourge, and get the Deepsea Staff, which you can use till Plantera and it shreads all the mechs.

Yes Summoner is the Strongest class in Calamity, but i'd say it's not even close to being the best. both Melee and Ranged are far better classes from an overall standpoint, since nether of them need that many if any Class Specific Accessories to work normally, while Mage, and especially Rogue and Summoner need Class Specific Accessories to work to start with. Mage is generally frail, but has really good weapon choises, and only needs amout 1 to 3 Class Specific accessories to work well, them being some form of Mana Flower upgrade, or other mana regenerating accessory. Overall a very mediocre class in difficulty, since if needed you can change you build around to accomidate many play styles, since as Offence, mobility or survivability, with minimal problems. Summoner is the strongest class for sure, but also the Frailest class, and it has a really heavy reliance on Class Specific Accessories, from at least 3 to 5 needed for good dps and general up keep with progression, where if you really need to you can get by with just 2, but not that well in most stages. Thus the class is overall very limited in what types of builds you can use to suit your possiblr play style, to pretty much only Offencive builds, where you really can't get a meaning full amount of Mobility or Survivablity accessories on without suffering from a major lack in dps. Rogue like Summoner is very limited by it's need for Class Specific Accessories, it needs 2 to 4 at least to function at all, since if you have no ways to boost Stealth Regen or other Stealth reduction effects the base Stealth regen will make your dps drop significantly, so again the class limits the possible Mobility oe Survivability builds, so it is an inflexible class like Summoner that can only really do fore pure dps, but for less experianced players would struggle more with these classes, as you can't really try to out speed bosses or projectiles with a mobility based build, or try to live longer with a Survivability based build, so they make them worse classes overall then the more flexable classes like Melee and Ranged that don't really need more then 1 Class Specific accessories to work well, for melee the glow upgrades after the mechs, and ranged with Deadshot Broach and later Recon Scope. So Summoner is the class that has overall the best dps potential, but falls short on almost all other aspects on what would be the "Best" class in the game, since honestly all classes can melt most if not all bosses, so dps isn't that important for the "Best" class, i'd say that the best class needs to offer good dps, good flexability in the types of builds you can spek towards to adapt to the possible problems that any player might run in to.

DON'T DO THIS!!! You don't deal enough damage with the Eye of Night!! I tried this and the first attempt had the arena ran out with Wall of Flesh being on 1000 HP, I used HALF the length of a Large World. The successful attempt was butt-clenching, I used 75% of the world's length and it still was a close fight with the arena running out.

Use necrosteocytes for wof it kills in 20-30 seconds very broken

@@user-zj6pg5xk6h be wary for the fact that if you use the double obsidian instabridge sometimes the skeletons can't attack the wall due to the eye being a bit too high or too low.

Sauro's Posession is the worst summon you can use post DoG, it need 8 Slots, which is equal to 2 Yharon's Kindle with Auric Soul Artifact, and Sauro's Posession deals around the same dps as most post-providance summons, while Mirror of Kalandra is By far the best summon per slot used in the game (before shadowspec), so the best setup for Exos and Scal i could make was: Pre-Scal /or/ Exo mechs (16 slots) - Auric Tesla armor - summoning potion and bewitching table - Dark Sun Ring (for more survivability you can switch this for the Sponge, and just leave out the Midnight Sun Beacons) - Nucleogenesis - Profaned Soul Artifact (for more survivability you can switch this for the Draedo's Heart after Exos, and just leave out the Mechworm as well) - Auric Soul Artifact - Rampart of Deities - Asgardian Aegis - Seraph Tracers - Kaleidoscope - Eye of Magnus - Cadaverous Carrion - Mirror of Kalandra (5) - Yharon's Kindle Staff (2) (thanks to Auric Soul Artifact each Yharon's Kindle Staff summon only takes up 4 slots insted of the normal 5) - Staff of the Mechworm (1) - Midnight Sun Beacon (2)

And if your wondering how I crafted I through the adamantite bars into shimmer and it turned to ore then I threw it back in and it turned to orichalcum so I could make a anvil

That is currently a know unintentional bug with the crates, that you can still get HM ores from the normally with the calamity HM progression enabled. It's a similar progression skip to going and fishing up the reaver shark and getting hellstone pre-boss, both are know, but not normally considered in progression.

For both your questions, yes. There's a new boss fight added by infernum which is the Bereft Vassal, que uses the great sand shark as a companion during the second phase, making the great sand shark a pre-moon lord boss fight, but infernum buffed the items derived from him. I highly recommend defeating the Bereft Vassal because que drops a whip slightly better than kaleidoscope and the Sand Sharknado Staff is by far one of, if not the best summon pre moon lord

Bundle of balloon gives much more mobility than the skyline wings. Wings are only worth it in hardmode

tbh i had much more mobility using skyline wings than using bohb

@@iamaketeri well I guess it comes down to personal preference but to me I prefer using bohb because the sandstorm jump allow you to get out of tricky situations much quicker than the wings

Eye of Cthulhu is next to the middle in bosses to beat. Meaning you can get it pre-EoW/BoC, which is the end of pre-boss

@@TheKingOfLust69420no, pre-boss means before all bosses, from the start of the game to right before you kill any boss, and the next segment is from your 1st kill to before killing the 1st evil biome boss, and so on.

Rusty Beacon can be found in Rusty Chests in the Sulphuric sea, there are 4 cheasts in total, for Rusty Beacon Prototype, Broken Water Filter, Rusty Medallion and Effigy of Decay. all can be found in dedacated spots in the sea alwasy, check the wiki for more details.

It's been reduced to 25% less summon damage while holding a weapon from another class. Though the Fearmonger armor removes the debuff completely.

Terraprisma will out preform both a full set of Stardust Dragon or Fuel Cell Bundle, though for a single minion Slot Stardust Dragon is the best before ML, since you get 3 segments for the price of 1 on the 1st use of the staff, so just having 1 Stardust Dragon and the rest as Terraprisma is close to potimal, you can add to it by using 2 slots on Whither Blossum Staff, for the Plague debuff good homing and decent dps over all. Generally minions that use more then 1 slot are worth more then most other minions at the same stage that only use 1 slot per minion, since that's there entier thing where you only get 1 of them and they cost more, but are more powerful. So micing minions is recommended. (pretty much all single use/multi slot minions are worth it, Except Sauros Possession, as it is worse then Providance tier minions for the same amount of slots used, so never use it)

it did get a buff in the recent update, so it is good, but Belchers and even Raven Staff can be better depending on the situation. also the Sentry to use on golem is the Cryogenic Staff, if you put it right inj the spot where Golem spawns it deals really good damage.

This "guide" lacks a lot of current info from calamity, and the only 2 stages where you should see a drop in dps are against skeletron, since it is better to have consistent hits rather then high damage, so I prefer using the 2 early hit scan summons/beam summons, since most other minions can really struggle to hit the fast moving hands. The other stage is against DoG, where having good tracking and long distance ai is more important then raw dps, so using Sirius and Virid Vanguard is better then most other options, since they can track, keep up and hit DoG's head and tail, something like Calamari's Lament is better dps then Virid Vanguard, but doesn't track nearly as far, so Vanguard deals better average dps.

@@Pqwer I haven't made a guide video myself, but there is a guide made based on the guide I wrote, it's made by Fizzy Rust, it was made 3 months ago I think.

In simple terms, obsidian armor is busted, and is your best option for whip heavy builds till Statigel, but fir minion focused builds you can go for the Aerialit armor after Perferators or Hive Mind which ever you have.

for all of PH, you can start with Flinx or Flinch, thill you get Stormjaw Staff and Belladona Staff, use Stormjaw for worm bosses and Belladona for everyting else. after you kill Eater of Worlds, make the Vile Feeder Staff and the Cinder Blossum Staff, and use them till you kill Skeletron, after that you can upgrade to the Herring Staff and Cinder Blossum Staff combo if you want to explore the abyss, but you can beat Wall of Flesh with just Vile Feeder Staff and the Cinder Blossum Staff.

It's a decent option to be sure, but generally Herring Staff is better

You fight Astrum Aureus after Plantera and before Golem

you can also use the sanguine staff to kill Cryogen, to get Glacial Embrace, to melt Aquatic Scourge to get the Deep Sea Staff

I'm not sure why this "guide" doesn't recommend it, but in general it's not the best option for Yharon if you are often flying to the top of the world during the fight, since it tends to despawn when following Yharon. So using a mixed setup like 5 mirror of Kalandra and 1 use of Mechworm, since the 1st use of it is worth 3 worm segments, but your main consistent dps is from Endohydra staff, which has really good tracking and can hit Yharon anywhere in the arena, and can't miss, while lower in dps, it can despawn during the fight, since it is always near you and just shoots at Yharon

Stardust shares the most amount of minion slots from any summoner armor with Auric Tesla at +5 minion slots, and all other Post-ML summoner specific armor sets give only +4 slots, the exceptions are multiclass armor sets like Omega Blue and Demonshade armors, Omega Blue gives +2 slots and Demonshade gives +10 slots. and only summoner Silva armor gives better stats compared to Stardust, so Bloodflare armor is worse for damage then Stardust, and should only be used if you feel that you need more survivability for DoG.
