Richtofen had selfish intentions. He was afraid to die so he kept the cycle going to live on so long the cycle was in tact. Nikolai knew that the only true way to save the universe was to die.

Julio Garcia Richtofen was originally only saving himself but he said after seeing Dempsey die he felt something and after takeo died he knew he had to save them. But the fact if the matter is Eichtofen was to selfish and weak to do what was necessary Nikolai wanted to save the universe he thought beyond himself and his friends the needs of the many out way the needs of the few

I don’t think Richthofen was selfish. I think he was just afraid that because of all he’s been through and how long this fight has been going on, how long the story is, he thinks that there is some way out of it and some way to end all wars and end all zombies. The problem is that he and his team (ultimis,primis,victis) are just as much of the problem as apthothicons and the whole enemy. Richthofen was too afraid of accepting that he and everyone around him, his only actual friends and brothers in arms have to die to truly break the cycle. Nikolai however knew otherwise and decided to finish the job. Erasing the roots of the story ever happening, thus closing the story for good

Me too, i used to think that back in Black Ops 1 (my first time ever on zombies) that the zombies were the result of some failed experiments with element 115 and the outbreak began from there. And honestly it kinda was actually an outbreak up to BO3 cause in BO2 we meet Victis which are just a group of random civilians surviving the zombies before they got caught up with Richtofen’s guidance, then after Origins and BO3 that’s when it dropped the whole outbreak thing and started going into a billion universes and stuff

DJPlaysGames yeah same kinda, the time travel and universes are really cool and stuff but it eventually became a bit too confusing. I think that’s one of the reasons why Exo Zombies was such a hit in Advanced Warfare, because in Exo Zombies storyline the zombies all started as an outbreak that came as a result of a bio weapon being deployed that killed hostile forces and eventually turned them to zombies, and it eventually reached the civilian population too. And the 4 playable characters in Exo Zombies are survivors of the outbreak that formerly worked for the group that deployed the bio weapon. A bonus detail to Exo Zombies was that it was also canonically linked to Exo Survival, which was basically just the MW3 survival mode but within AW, except in the Exo Survival map on wave 11 or 12 you witness the bio weapon being deployed and you have to fight through the incoming hordes of freshly infected zombies as you make your escape

This did start as an outbreak didn't it? I mean I remember the final DLC of WaW Der riese mention "it's their heartland. Is this where it ends?" Meaning they probably had intended it to end it there but it got popular, so they put on black ops. It was until black ops 2 were they started doing this multi-verse and shit. You could say black ops was the start but maps felt like WaW zombies, especially when there is "five" which is literally a zombies outbreak.

Knight And SpaceShip i think it was in some parts, like the map Five from BO1 was an outbreak and then after the zombie outbreak at the Pentagon the United States formed the group Broken Arrow a group intended to study element 115 and prevent any future outbreaks

The characters will probably stay but a different storyline with them won't happen. Like if they brought kino back with the og characters they won't be in the new story unless they put the new characters in the old maps. It's sad to see it end but all good things must come to a end.

SavageRicktator dont think monty was omniscent because omniscent means you know everything that will happen. Remember back in revalation monty didnt predict that rictofen would have blood vials to prevent their deaths. So in case of nikolai monty probably all that aware of what was going on. However it true monty should of showed up somehow to try and stop this from happening like a final boss

I wish a lot of things when it comes to this ending. I wish it was executed well. I wish it made any kind of sense. I wish it wasn’t a total cop out betrayal of the community. Sigh

@@nasferg6698 it's not necessarily that simple, the blood vials are necessary for them to stay alive and be sent back thus continuing the loop, but if Monty instead said "hey Eddie got the blood? Still alive? Ok back ya go" then it would've completely alluded to montys plan and the entire cycle, meaning richtofen would be onto it right away and dramatically changed things. However he is clearly aware of the changed plan via richtofens death closing off the prison but may not be able to just straight up locate and decimate them, the eating of maxis makes it clear he knows what's going on but is clearly unable to act fast enough, because right after alpha omega they go to the forest and primis/zombie richtofen begins controlling victis while Nikolai comforts everyone in there deaths. My point is maybe Monty did know but couldn't act fast or precisely enough because he wasn't prepared for the one reality where he actually loses

It would make a lot of sense if you made it a series. You could do all the recording within a few days take this time. And edit it bit by bit. This day we get part one the next day or few days later we get part 2. Instead of a full 10 hour marathon. Not to mention how long will it take to render that shit in the fucking editor. It'll take 30 minutes for a 10 to 15 minute video to render depending on how much you edit it. I can't even imagine the render time on a 10-hour fucking video. Jesus fucking Christ.🤯

Sauce2up he had to kill them because the chronorium shows the future and things they had to do. They were the cause of the apocalypse. They made a teleporter and created a paradox which is why you saw the different versions of our 4 characters. In order to actually stop the apocalypse they had to sacrifice their lives.

Mega late reply, but having stumbled upon this video, watched it, watched Waffles other storyline vid linking to this one... wow the BO4 story was a total mess. Such chaos and a slapped together, rushed ending. I'm still disappointed that we didn't fight and kill Monty as Ultimis since Primis apparently couldn't get it done, as suggested by the “Primis will fail Ultimis will prevail” quote.

it kinda makes a little be sense where there are zombies in blackout but blackout was only invented after pubg made battle royal famous so i dont think an old story would follow a modern trend although it would be kinda cool if you ask me

From my perspective (which is trash, not gonna lie) I think it meant Samantha and Eddie. I may have this all wrong, but if that is the Samantha I think (mainly due to the accent. Since the Primus Samantha had an American accent and Ultimus Samantha had the German accent, and this cut scene Samantha has said accent), Then Ultimus signified the children and Primus signified the crews we played as.

BO4 Zombies as a whole is a massive disappointment from a storyline perspective.

There are rumours that AO was completed shortly after Blood of the dead, which would explain the sudden change in direction. I think the original plan was for Samantha to be a key part in the Monty fight but because of cut budget and resources shifting to BO5 Treyarch couldn't afford it anymore

I think it is because since all the different timelines and everything was erased she lost her powers because her being in the mpd technically never happened

If you rewatch the ending to Tag Der Toten Nikolai destroys the multiverse thus destroying the Aether and since Samantha was “corrupted” or got her powers from the Aether, she wouldn’t have them anymore because her connection to the Aether would be severed this cleansing her of the corruption if that makes any sense.

The world's tended to be back to normal it's just those who had all the memory of anything that happens. Not to mention I'm pretty sure Samantha still has her powers. Meaning she should still have some 115 or some ether left in her. He'll it be cool and set up a whole second Modi became the main campaign in Black Ops 5. Actually putting the tree exam bees mode connecting into the campaign storyline. Like you play as a regular Soldier you guys got to find this chick with special powers but everything turns out to be Samantha. And they would somehow do that I fucking fan girl over that shit.

I really wanted the boss fight to be us switching to the primis crew fighting in the great war with Sam floating in the centre of the two armies, meanwhile she unleashes the horde, and we have a load of zombies fighting along side us instead of against us to help her defeat both armies. Then we all die out apart from samantha and eddie who teleport somewhere safe to destroy the aether. Or something like that

I'm just kinda disappointed at where it went. It was all pointing to Monty controlling everything and killing him and the Shadowman leading to the end of the cycle, the apothicons, the keepers, the zombies etc. Would have been a much better ending.

@@Zombies8MyPizza They basically "fought" the great war by not partaking in it, but by taking action to end it, and it ultimately was anticlimactic and unfulfilling. They already broke the cycle by killing richtofen in botd, so to fight in the great war with samantha and the elemental shard could have still made sense

The Easter egg should have been where you are inside of the great war then lose so Nikolai finally decides the only way to fix everything is to kill himself and his friends.

Exactly, their bodies turned into Zombies after the summoning key was destroyed. There was no poison. What I have been trying to say.

Now that I think about it, that kind of makes sense..

@@ghost1841 I mean, maybe he did, but the summoning key being destroyed is what caused them to actually die, otherwise they woukd have lived again, just like they have 1000 times. Remember, the characters "die" in every map, that is pretty much the basis over and over. Each time you die and respawn, its "supposed" to be another timeline and cycle, basicaly. I know, it's complicated and hard to understand, but that was literally the whole reason for "Die Rise" map. Treyarch then confirmed that You are dying, for real all the time. I don't remember where, or when, but its a legit thing. That is the whole reason for them wanting to "End" Aether, because it is simply TOO complicated. They will revive it with a more linear story, and not one so .....wide open, You guys will see. May be a while, but it will be back.

@@Sealsds Yeah it kept em dead for good, but it wasn't the cause of death. They probably wouldn't have died immediately if they didn't get poisoned, they probably would have still been alive. Just not able to come back if they die. And the story wasn't really all that complicated. They killed everyone off the way they did because Sledgehammer.
