@@thehonorablereese they should have let Shepard live regardless... you shouldn’t have to destroy the geth and EDI... I hope mass effect 5 makes this right. But I’m worried it’s set too far in the future.
@@Rhinoiron The whole plot of Mass Effect, especially in the third game, is that you MUST make sacrifices to win a war, and whatever you do, you can't save them all. Given the fact that the safest choice is to destroy the Reapers, it is logical that it is the only way Shepard can live. However, I don't know how they will manage to make this work for people who didn't destroy the Reapers.
I found that picture made Tali’Zorah the most Beautiful character in the entire game. Yeah I found out it’s photoshop, but I don’t care. She is physically stunningly beautiful, And her soul/heart is more beautiful. Plus she is super cute!
It's one more example demonstrating that they had no cohesive aesthetic in mass effect 3. Still, at least it's easy to ignore. Personally, I think they should've given some indication of what Quarians looks like (as they did in the Extended Cut) but not Tali specifically.
People complain about women being sexualized in video games but a shit ton of people sure fell in love with the nomadic space gypsy who's covered head to toe and wears a space burka 24/7.
Tali: "What could I possibly be suggesting? I mean, a young woman gets rescued by a dashing commander who lets her join his crew and then goes off to save the galaxy? How could she possibly develop any kind of interest in him?" I just fell in love with her. Being shy makes her just so lovable.
She’s so down to earth and far more relatable than the others, she gets flustered and starts chatting nonstop as a defense mechanism from being nervous, it’s freaking adorable
26:13 Harbinger: We are your destruction! *Gets ready to destroy the Normandy and kill Shepard* Tali: I have a home... Harbinger: ...Imma give you two a minute...
Not as cute as Garrus and Tali which is the canon couple. Shepard matches best with Miranda in ME2. But I like Tali because I like cute, reserved, and caring women.
@@billclark5055 There is no canon couple. Tali and Garrus are two of the most well liked and most common romances. Bioware isn't gonna take that away from players for some minor romance that materialized out of nowhere. There's also not a "best" match. I'd take Liara or Tali over Miranda anyday, but to each their own.
I loved how the "totally worth it"-line became a private running gag for the two of them throughout the rest of the games. Whenever I play games like this (like Dragon Age for example) I always say to myself: "I'll play with other choices next time, because there's so much to explore in a replay." But I don't think I would romance anyone else but Tali. Without these scenes the story wouldn't be complete to me.
I romanced Ashley in ME1 and then Tali in ME2. I was pleasantly surprised to see them have a catty moment. After that, I never bothered with my saves from ME2 where I romanced Miranda or Jack. Still played my Liara ones though.
@@12gagebastis Personally I hate the fact that Liara is crying and complaining about the fact that the Alliance doesn't help Thessia in ME3. I romanced Tali and almost regret the fact that I didn't romance Liara in ME3 until she complains about that. I was like "shut up, we just lost our homeworld half of our military power, our government, and uniting the whole galaxy since the beginning and your people did nothing !". I just wanted to hit her at that moment, so frustrating. And at least, Tali is doing some damage with her shotgun...
I know right. She is just so cute. I love mordin's comment to. My only wish was they actually showed us her without the suit. It would of been Totally worth it ;)
With how much I love Tali as a character, I always HATED the fact that not once, not one single time did Shepard ever tell Tali he loves her. Why not? He says it for other characters, why not Tali? It pisses me off.
+John Cisney In ME3, they made this the more "lighthearted" romance. I think it was supposed to be like the Han Solo/Leia romance; Leia says "I love you," and Han says "I know," which is the "scoundrel" comment, but you are supposed to know he feels the same way. I wasn't super fond of they way they did it, but I think they were just trying to make it different so that no every romance felt the same.
That's the whole point. They know they love each other, it doesn't need saying. Also, there are a few times where Shepard tried to say it but Tali interrupted hom and said "I know."
Harbinger: I will tear you apart, Shepard. *Gets ready to destroy the Normandy and kill Shepard* Tali: I have a home. Harbinger: I'll... give you two a minute...
Knowing that Shepard is going to die is absolutely brutal to my composure when watching the end. The struggle in Tali's voice, "I wish we had more time." hit's hard. What follows hit's even harder.
Never saw the complete romance with her, and now that I have I tend to agree. Then again, I've yet to see the complete Garrus romance, so I might still change my mind. :)
This is the best and worst romance in one moment. You know, Tali's so loyal to him. She would always love him and she would never try to find someone else. Dammit, BioWare with your endings :(
I would agree but having the lair of the shadow broker dlc I always wind up going with Liara. I might be in the minority here but shes still my favorite
At the end when Shepard said "Get back to Rannoch. Build yourself a home." and then Tali replied with "I have a home." I started crying. I played these games over and over and over, you'd think that by now i'd have gotten over all of this, but this final clip shows that these games still resinate deep with in me. I've been playing the Mass Effect games since 2010, and 6 years later, here I am, still crying over things that I truly believed i had gotten over. I played Mass Effect 6 times, I played Mass effect 2 8 times, and i played mass effect 3 5 times. And when i think about it, i dont see it as wasted time. Any game that has the ability to make me feel emotions that arent usual, make me fell like i want to sit in my bed and cry, is not a bad game. I agree with the fact that the ending to this game was a mistake, and there could have been plenty of ways to end it. I respect bioware for the fact that they added the Extended Cut DLC for at least it game me a chance to hear these incredible characters one more time. At the end of every playthrough, whether i romanced Ash or Garrus or Kaiden or Liara or Jack or Miranda or Thane or Jacob or Tali, I always feel so connected to the characters that i wish i was part of the crew. I have played through the entire trilogy many times and I dont care if people think its stupid or crap, this game is MY game, this is a game that speaks to me like no other. If your a diehard fan of the game, and can name every crew member from every game, then you will understand what i mean and how i feel. This for me, and many others is more than a game. Thank you Mass Effect.
true that man. just started my 3rd playthrough now and currently on the second game. Every time i play this game i find something new that i didnt notice the last time. I
I agree mate, due to the huge amount of characters, theres so many options in terms of romance that every time i play, i KNOW ill find something new. Got to love Mass Effect!
I'm on my first playthrough (ME3) and i'm not the type that gets emotional about on-screen stuff, my favorite part is the PEW! *cerberus head expoldes* kind of gameplay. In those moments, it's either super easy of rageworthy hard. But still fun. Cheers!
I wish Andromeda had either been a different game or had some of the old characters... f*ck at this point I'd want a comic series or mini biographies of WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHARACTERS DEPENDING ON YOUR CHOICES. But, let's face it, Talia is the best romance option.
2019 here and I'm still playing it 😊and tali will always and forever be my space love. Sounds kinda cheesy but playing these games make me think of other life. As well I cant find human love then another love life possibly alien lol hopefully XD
Meh, her final farewell is SO GODDAMN sad and emotional... You can't even compare other companions' farewell scenes with this. I played through ME trilogy 4 times, I romanced Tali 4 times, and I shed fucking man tears every time I see this scene :'( Also, I'm so pissed off because Shepard never really tells her those three simple words "I love you". He says that to Liara, Ashley, even to Kaiden in gay romance. But not to Tali. That's unfair!
***** Oh, may be you're right... But when he says "Get back to Rannoch... Build yourself a home" - doesn't he admit that she will do that alone, without him, that it's possible they won't meet again? Well, at least they did. Or, I hope so...
+Melodeath by Countries As she was rescued "by a dashing commander," I think they were going for a more Leia-Han Solo dynamic ("I love you," .... "I know"). Basically, she already knew he loved her, so he didn't need to say it. Still, I would have liked to hear it. I think they were just trying to make it different than the other romances so they didn't all sound the same.
+thehonorablereese Tali/Shepard romance is really different from the others. It is highly sad and emotional, I've never seen more dramatic romances neither in videogames nor in movies. They only had each other in the whole Galaxy. The only hope they had is to go through the last moments together. And that house on Rannoch is just a dream that will never come true...
Tali's romance feels so...right. She genuinely cares for you, and has admired you from afar since the first game, and in the 2nd game she finally works up the courage to tell you how she feels, and how long she's admired and watched you make hard choices on your own. And how she goes to great lengths to figure out how to make your relationship with her work out. Then it all comes to a satisfying, yet bittersweet conclusion in ME3. You help her retake her homeworld, help her and her people make peace with the Geth. The only parts of the romance that are bittersweet is the terrible photoshopped picture Bioware gives us of her..and how sad I felt when near the ending Tali says she wants more time with Shepard..The first time I heard that, I almost cried.
I love how blunt he is lol. Like when the Hanar freaks out on the Citadel and Shepherds like "they consider you to be their gods" and Javik just says "it's a shame we didn't teach them to speak better" XD
+MrRemorseless I really don't understand why they did that... Tali is such an important char... Whyt the fuck would you photoshop some google image crap
I actually like that picture. At least she isn't some weird scaley thing. I would have to say she's the best looking character in the game lol. Only thing that bugs me is the fingers. Too close together.
Its so strange. I never really cared about Tali until I decided to romance her and stay with her in ME3. Now she's one of my favorite characters. Her romances seems the most natural in the series. She feels like a regular person who develops feelings for Shepard in ME1, and then finally decides to act upon it in ME2. Then despite having feelings for him, knows her people need the help more than what she wants. But decides to stay and help Shepard fight the reapers because having a homeworld means nothing if the reapers win. One of my favorite scenes is just before you fight the reaper on Rannoch: Tali: Shepard be careful. Just in case... Shepard: You worry too much. Tali: I love you. Shepard: Keelah Se'lai. And she's with you in every ME games as well. So in short, Tali be awesome bruhs.
Devin Hansen I believe it means "of the homeworld I will see again one day." Or something along those lines. I just think it meant a lot for Tali to hear Shepard say it.
Epicemissary I cried like a 16 year old girl watching "The Notebook" when she was singing this. For as half-assed as Bioware handled her romance with Shep (e.g. photoshopped stock photo, never seeing her face outside the suit, Shep not actually saying "I love you" back, etc.), they nailed it here. No pun intended :P
25:24 ~ [Tali'Zorah]: _I want more time..._ That line breaks me down every time I see/hear it. Such great emotional delivery. While the other romances are good too, the Tali romance is definitely the most emotionally impacting. Thanks for uploading, DanaDuchy.
Yeah, and considering that the picture we do get it a crappy photoshop job of a stock picture done on Bioware's behalf..it makes it even more disappointing.
Meeting romances in ME1: Ashley is fleeing for her life. Liara clumsily stuck herself in a bubble. Oh, Tali? Why she's on a tear, chucking grenades at assholes and shooting them in the face. And THAT is why Tali is the best romance in the trilogy. Only bad thing about it is you have to wait until ME2 to actually start it.
Tali: I don't want what I want to get in the way of this mission. Shepard: And if there was no mission? Tali: If it was just us? I would ROCK you hard enough to take the N7 right off of your armor!
And Tali doesn't put up the name plaque because she doesn't think he's dead, and the Normandy flies off the planet, so it's heavily implied that Shepard survives. Also, it says in the Manuel that 5000 EMS Shep survives
Brian Alberg That's not the Renegade Ending, it's the Paragon one. It shows that because it's the one that Anderson would've chosen and he is paragon, and Illusive Man is renegade. They just reversed the colors to confuse you lol
26:20 harbinger be like: "look as those 2 being all cute and all in the middle of the god damn firefight. lucky am here for................. assuming direct control!"
Romancing Tali is my favourite out of all the characters because to me it seems like the official romance because she is the only character which Shepard interacts with in all 3 games, Ashley is not available in Mass Effect 2, nor is Liara, and both of them are optional in Mass Effect 3 so I'll always choose Tali. Just saying. Plus my girlfriend reminds me of Tali because of their sweet and gentle personality.
I like Tali because I find her to be the character I can relate most to. She's good with tech, she's kind of timid, and in ME2 she's a little awkward. Quite relatable to me. Plus, she was my favorite from the moment I met her in ME1.
***** After countless number of times I played through the games, I finally managed to complete the games without killing off everybody haha. I remember my first run-through the series: .Wrex Died .Ethan Jeong Died .Fist .Virtually everyone in Mass Effect 2 died and killed everybody in the galaxy in Mass Effect 3. And that was like 3 months ago, so months of playing the series and finally got Tali in bed XD
I couldn't make the game without romancing Tali. After looking at each romance, it really feels like their relationship is the best thing that could happen to both of them. And not only because she is a great character in all those scenes that get added, but for her interactions between her and Shepard, their banters feel so natural, it seems like they understand each other more than anybody else, their goals, situations and fears. They helped each other through all of this and want the best not for themselves but for their beloved.
Harbinger: We are your destruction! *Gets ready to blast the Normandy with the beam, killing Shepard and everyone he loves* Tali: I have a home. Come back to me. Harbinger: ...I'll give you two a minute...
Kawaii Atlas Me either, it's one of the most disappointing video game endings I've ever seen. What also really irks me is that you have to buy the Prothean in order to fully experience the story, I think that is a rip-off and a slap in the face of those of us who have invested time and money into the series
Daniel Thompson Just remember the fact that EA started it's half-assed games around this time... Well they had the sports games, but Im not gonna cause a holocaust and call itout.
+Kawaii Atlas If you're a member of the glorious PC master race, find yourself the MEHEM mod, its not perfect but its definitely better than what EA shat out and handed to us.
Well... At the end of Mass effect, she already (?) adapts to Shepard. So, it would mean that they are very compatible or they have done it a lot. Maybe both?
Funny how she shares amino acids with turians, yet looks pretty human... cough*stock photo*cough. In all seriousness though, this was (in my opinion) the most well-written romance out of the given options.
A shame we don't get an option to save Tali's father, it would have been interesting to see her interacting with him, has well has seeing how he would have reacted to Shepard.
The actor for tali put up alot of emotion into her character for sure. Also the mystery of tali true form is probably want drew to people to her character in the first place. Kinda wish they stuck it in the end of her without the suit.
the scenes on earth with tali are so sad, the 'I want more time' and 'I already have a home' lines hit the worst. my first playthrough was with tali as a romance partner and when the line 'I want more time' came up, it was basically the game telling me i was right to think shepard would be killed in the end.
Good news, it has been confirmed; we’re getting a remaster. I wish it were a remake, as there are SO MANY things they can make so much better, such as the ending of ME3
@@meep1998 After 8 years, remaking the ending of the whole trilogy would be hard, because we've got that, and nothing will make us forget the ME3 ending. The only things they need to rework are some details like the photo of Tali.
17:15 *flashback happens* Geth Prime: Creator Tali.... what is the purpose of this? Tali: *takes hood and mask off* Just take the damn picture before i die on my own world.
Wouldn't destroy be the worse ending though? I mean, all AI gone, many more lives lost, the Geth also get destroyed so their suit enhancements wouldn't work. I just feel like destroy is the worse one for not just the galaxy but also Tali.
@@dango6266 The Geth just had the ability to improve quarian biology for them to gain the ability to live on their world again without any suit faster. But if the Quarians adapt slower, it doesn't mean that they will never adapt. With Geth gone and EDI gone too, I think it is sad because I liked EDI a lot but also truely loved the Geth and the empathy that we can gain for these machines. But I also think it is the best solution, whatever you choose, there are great losses of lives. Control is all but secured, synthesis has too many variables, and destroy is the safest decision to make, it is hard, but that is it.
Always romanced Tali as a male Shep. Keep personally trying to romance Jack or Miranda, but every time Tali draws me back in with her kindness and cuteness :) xD
yep after watching all of these I have confirmed Tali is basically the best ever period. Garrus is a close second because he is so damn funny to romance but as far as emotional connection no one holds a candle to Tali. IMO she is just the most flushed out character because she is so imperfect making her more believable and a more interesting character arch as her personality changes through out the 3 games going from very shy and nervous to taking charge in the bed room not to mention her "I cant believe I am mourning a geth!" line on Rannoch.
And just her she tells you which she's like's you so much Tali: you doesn't love's a cross specie romance..... really??? 1st time I felt that I shouldn't romance her .....
Talis romance, to me, always felt like the right one to make. There's just something about their chemistry that just speaks to me. Most other romances feel janky and forced. I'm sure others will disagree. But I think Talis romance was the most organic of all.
I've always romances Tali! In my opinion, Tali and Liara CLEARLY love Shepard, you can feel it. It practically oozes out of them. The other romance options, Ashley, Jack, etc care for him, sure, but they don't "love" him. They say "I love you Shepard" but it feels forced, like that's what they're "supposed" to say. I've seen All of the romance options at work, and the way I see it, Male Shepard:.Most Intense-Jack Most romantic-Liara Soul mate (the one)-Tali Female Shepard: Most Intense-Thane Most romantic- Kaiden Soul mate (the one) Garrus
+agrey832 Whether one love is greater than another, I can't say, because love is different things for different people. The way I saw it, I thought Liara's romance was the "deepest," as in enormity and spirituality, and in "how far would you go for someone you love?" Tali's I thought was the "sweetest" and purest love: the strongest as most people would see it.
GLaD1138 This personally is what I feel is the best fan depiction of a maskless quarian. s984.photobucket.com/user/SlidellofOlde/media/my_wife__s_tali_zorah_redesign_in_3d_by_nebezial-d4szlc0.jpg.html
I liked the idea behind the photo, cute idea.....just badly executed (stock photo and all) but they dropped a HUGE emotional ball on rannoch, when she took her mask off.....should of cut to her face....*sigh* Still my favorite romance though!
TheBelieveit1 I think that's... kind of hideous. I subjectively feel this is probably what's under the mask: s608.photobucket.com/user/misterbluntman/media/tali_nomask.jpg.html
