I got that same number, but then again Judy did say her generation was just starting their own families. So.... the unaccounted for bunnies could be among these. AKA.... some siblings families could be bigger than others.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it excuses, more like an observation of your past trauma. As long as you acknowledge that it doesn’t justify wrong, and that you are a different person now and know better, I think that’s what matters.

Too bad looks like the author didn't want to write a story but a social commentary.. I am guilty of that writing sin too.. So I understand what can drive one to make something like that, but it always need to be subtle and hide behind the story..
