I HATE nonrealistic farm sim play throughs but for some reason I am enthralled by yours. Keep up the good work! Edit: I’d like to see a 4x, PMC or even a 16x map totally planted and harvested. Not necessarily the entire thing but all the field definitions that are there.
I'm not a fan of non realistic either. I'm all for the right to play how you like and FS is great in that it affords flexibility but it's nit for me. However these experiments take so much effort I have to concede the use of some tools to speed things up so I allow a few rules to be broken, usually around speed only. Glad I've found that niche for you. And good tips for some map options. Next experiment is in planning right now.
The only thing missing here is Dusty saying, “well computer guy, you know that big bud is overkill. We don’t quite have the budget for that extravagance.”
Just when you think he has references to absolutely everything gen x loves from this and all his other content he goes and plays the clichéd 80s in store music when buying ploughs 😂😂😂😂😂
Noone has yet noticed the very subtle nod to a classic N64 game yet. It was in the NML Carrots vid and in this one... you are in the right place though Verbal. Keep listening...
another great video do more of these series maybe do a series were you plow all of the map 4 fields and plant red beets or plow and plant the entire map of green lands in grass and then bail the grass and turn it in to silige and then sell it
Pew! 😂 This was the first of your experimental farming videos I've watched so far, and it was great fun! I can't believe how long it took to clear all of the trees!! 😮 The music track you chose for that bit was spot on. 💯 Granted, all the music was awesome. I gave up on the drinking game at 14 maps. Yikes. 😂 It was great to see Bandana John on loan from Erlengrat driving Big Bud. I can't believe he got cleared for astronaut training- they'll take anyone these days. Lol Mrs. White will be making parsnip soup for many lifetimes with that many millions of liters. 🤣 IDK how interesting anyone else would find it, but if you planted 3/4 of a 4x flat map with cotton and filled the last quarter with spinneries and tailors, then after harvesting, you could plug all the cotton into those spinneries and let the cloth distribute into the tailors (push the time to like 240x to let it all run out) and see how many pallets of clothes you could produce. You may not need that much space for the production facilities either- I've never done cotton, spinneries, or clothing. 😅
Ah yes Bandana John pops in randomly from time to time. Never says a word. A bit reckless but gets on. That cotton idea is a solid idea. I had contemplated a short production chain so that's an option. Would you say NML or a different map?
@@DustySimFarmer NML is a classic and is sure to be a big draw for viewers because of its recognition factor. Another big, flat map would also be nice to see, though. I just don't have a suggestion for what you'd be doing that's as good or better.
I'll have a look around at other 4X flat maps. Too many objects and trees would make the experience aspect too convoluted. Where did I put my "thinking cap"?
I'll be watching this later ...... I knew whacky stuff would help the channel. A year it two ago, MrSealyP did a whacky series that was hugely successful but he stopped when "purists" criticized him. People need to remember - it's just a bloody game - have fun!!
Thanks, Brett. Well, I tend to do what I want. I'll take good advice, but otherwise, I create what inspires me. I believe that's the only way to stay interested and interesting. I am my own boss, and I wouldn't have it any other way 😀 I hope you enjoy the video!
Viewer interaction challenge 1 of 1 - as much as we love your experiments Xrimson how about mmmmm i dont know head over to no mans land AND GET DUSTY OUT OF JAIL oh ye and that computer guy too 😂
1 gravity is 3 times less on mars 2 how much dose elon charge per tractor 3 have you enough room in your comment section for when neil de grasse tyson watches this and picks holes 😂😂
The science of farming beats quantum mechanics any day. But just in case I'm pretty clued up on my Planck's Constant, Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and collapsing wave functions.
@@DustySimFarmer the new netron experiment in Japan a water tank hollowed out mountain may re write most of what we thought was concrete and dare I say even relativity
What I don't get is, you say you don't lime playing unrealistic, so you keep standard headers on the workers tools, but you use equipment liek Trailers and Harvesters taht can hold 1million Liters and can drive 60mph which is also not realistic... makes absolutely no sense to me 😂😂 Like the idea of these videos tho and it is fun to watch 👍
Yeah, it makes no sense at all. Fundamentally, I do prefer realism, but that goes out the window with these sorts of videos. I often contradict myself 😄
