Mobile JRPG Another Eden is preparing to launch a crossover event with lauded PlayStation JRPG Chrono Cross, featuring new music by Yasunori Mitsuda and a story by Masato Kato. #IGN #Gaming #ComplexDream
The strains of Time's Scar by Yasunori Mitsuda, even after 20 years on still brings tears to my eyes. So many memories of playing Chrono Cross during my college years.
There was hope for a Chrono Trigger remake, there were rumblings of a Chrono Cross remaster, and there were even prayers for a new Chrono series game altogether... But the future refused to change.
Say want you want about the game itself, the Chrono Cross Soundtrack is legendary. It’s one of the best soundtracks regardless of genre I’ve ever heard.
Another Eden is a mobile JRPG from the creator and writer of Chrono Cross, Masato Kato, and features music by composer of Chrono Trigger and Cross , Yasunori Mitsuda. Its a spritiual successor to Chrono series. A remaster is likely being announced at the game awards next week. This cross over event for another eden is to build hype and warm up for the announcement next week, since the cross over event starts the same day as TGA

my first ever JRPG and the theme song really brings back memories. The ending theme of Chrono Cross is my all time favorite song ever. Mitsuda is a legend indeed
You know you created something really special when things like this comes out after many years and people still feel the same feeling they had when they first experienced it.
@@wouldyoureturntomonke2452 Xenogears IP belong to Squenix so Monolith Soft can't really do anything about it, if Squenix wants to revive Xenogears it would be with a different dev team
I'm so glad these devs, who clearly made their game as a gacha homage to the Chrono series, got to actually do a collaboration with them! That's an honor for them for sure.
Too many people in these comments hating on this "shitty mobile game" without realizing it's literally a game by Masato Kato that is a companion piece to the Chrono series 🤦 This crossover makes perfect sense, and will very likely lead into more Chrono announcements.
Oh they know who made it, but the problem is it's on mobile especially when fans wanted either a new game in the Chrono series that wasn't on mobile (this was purely made for Asian countries because mobile is normal over there) or a remake or Chrono Trigger and Cross.
Fans know that it brings back veteran auteur scenario writer Masato Kato and legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda from the original Chrono Cross. However, 1) it's a mobile gacha game instead of a lavish standalone console experience and 2) people wanted an official canon remake, reboot or sequel but instead get it watered down as half of a gimmicky crossover with "Another Eden".
It's that everything is a mobile game now. It's all just phone games aimed at your wallet. We ain't dumb, man. We aren't out to get suckered into yet-another-phone-gacha.
Apparently this crossover event has text in its code reading “in celebration of the Chrono Cross remaster” so there may still be hope if the rumor is true
This soundtrack always give me goosebumps. The legendary composer, Yasunori Mitsuda. Thus, his masterpieces "Frog Theme" and "Robo Theme" of Chrono Trigger were played for the athletes' parade of Tokyo 2020.
this has to be like the first thing cross got since it was released. we got chrono trigger 1,000,000 times since its release over in some capacity. im glad they remember cross exists
@@johnanthony1773 in europe it got so much hate and the servers will be closed soon. They already closed the german localisation. It's just a matter of time. And the pc version got bad reviews too. And the fact that another eden is a free to play mobile game with gacha mechanics is a no go for the majority of console and pc gamers. And a few mobile gamer don't like this game because of the size and the story. They want more casual and pay2win stuff.
Also the three characters now have voice actors and judging by the livestream and the character previews. The voice actors are doing great so far. Also that cursed samurai as a frog name is Cyrus so you don't get confused with the other cursed man as frog from Chrino Trigger
I'll never forget, as a college freshman, spending so many hours on this game 23 years ago and getting FFIX the very next year. Wow. Now, if we could only get a sequel...
Either the Chrono Cross remake leaks were false, or it's actually happening, and this is a way to reignite hype in the fanbase. Either way, I'm happy. The latter because of the game, and the former because people who believe in leaks and rumors get screwed over.
