Torpedo-Boat Destroyer system? Used to "destroy fleet"? I was all nice and credible until this point.... the animation shows the basic working principle of a battleship main battery turret, which has nothing to do with destroying torpedo boats. Which aren't even in use anymore since decades, and have been destroyed by one of those guns seen in the animation you copied from Wikipedia. So the rest might be bs as well, as far as applications are concerned.
