For this Sunday's Singalong, it's the song from @catsmusical that you've all been asking for, Memory - ALW #HomeIsWhereTheMusicIs #TogetherAtHome #StayAtHome
When most of the music of the 20th century has long been forgotten, this man's music will pass the test of time and echo in the halls of the ages. Thank you Andrew.
When its all sorted people will discover that he stole every melody from better geniuses like Ravell since 'Memory' is simply a slower arrangement of the Balero !!!!!!...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vi2QhP7LOxI.html
@@ColonialHistory memory is actually from a cancelled alw musical about two famous opera composers (i can't remember their names), maybe that's why it sounds similar?
Saw Cats and Phantom in one Broadway binge, my 4th grader wept as we came out of the second show. She said “Dad, I didn’t know music could make me cry”. Thirty years later she’s a piano and keyboard teacher to the children of Hollywood stars. Thank you Sir Andrew.
To hear this rendered by the composer in the intimate setting of his own home; just him and his piano... ...sigh... Other than breath~taking, ] have no words. Thank you❤
Just as I adore hearing Francesco Perrino's virtuoso performance of this piece, the composer's performance of his own music makes my blood flow just as quickly.
Mr Andrew Lloyd Webber you are madly talented. You are 35 percent Mozart, 35 percent Frederic Chopin, 20 percent Ludwig Van Beethevon, and 10 percent Britney Spears! And that's because you have such good dance moves!
"Wishing you were somehow here again".. another favourite And Music of the Night,.... Makes me tingly...Lol... Of course Phantom of the Opera....the Music is stunning Many have sung them... But I still adore Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford..... CLASSIC... When we get out of this lockdown, I would love to go to the Theatre.....And indulge .....
I performed this as a solo so many years ago in 1986 during a HS choir concert. I’ll never forget the lyrics or that special performance where I earned a standing ovation. Your music will always mean the world to me, Mr Webber!
Had a wonderful night last night watching Phantom of the opera such a magnificent show. We turned the lights down had a glass of vino it was pure magic. Thank you Mr Andrew Lloyd Webber and cast.
That piece of music touches me to the bottom of my soul.So sensitive! It's one of my favourites from Cat's musical.I ve heard Elaine Paige singing that part.Lyrics are gorgeous, and all costumes.....magnificent.I've heard the same piece in the train station,in Carlisle, where an orchestra was singing Saturday, right before Easter, this year.It was the most emotional welcome that I ve received in a train station. wonderful idea!❤Mary Ann

Was lucky enough to see Cats in London when it first opened. I'd forgotten how mindblowing it was to walk into a rubbish dump, feeling about the same size as a cat. It was quite a revolutionary bit of staging.
Andrew is not only the best composer in modern time but also an excellent pianist a rare talented and gifted man a gift from God to UK and to the world . I am obsessed with his music , I sing them play them on piano violin harp guitar and cello. Imagine play the music you composed yourself , hope one day I can do that too.
Thank you so much for releasing the Phantom of the Opera. I've watched it over and over bawling my eyes out (in a good way). Colm Wilkinson is my phantom, watched him when I was 12 at the Pantages in Toronto. What wonderful memories this brings up. Your music is absolutely beautiful you are a one of a kind talent. Thank you for allowing me to forget about this quarantine and relive better times. Much love from Canada.
I adore the musical CATS! Thank you so much for taking T.S.Elliots poems and composing music for them to create my favourite musical of all time. >^.".^< "meow"
I saw Cats on stage in Edinburgh a few years ago. Those people in the cat costumes were amazing, the way they writhed and contorted themselves. It was wonderful to see their gymnastical ability.
Lol, I do not have a vocal range! My husband told me to be quiet in church. Lovely music and I adore that you are the one man playing for us. Makes us feel special. Blessings from California
Cats was the first musical I ever saw. My husband took me when we were first married, back when he was an "E-I owe ya one" in the Navy. We lived on a HALF a shoestring budget. 😺 But he managed to get tix and I was elated. Cats is still my favorite. Thank you, Mr. Webber, for sharing. It's beautiful!
I got to see Cats right after it opened on Broadway. I took 40 kids from Oklahoma to this show. It was life changing for us all Betty Buckley, Terence Mann. Just transformative. Bravo.Debi LA/Dallas
Thankyou for pushing through the pain of Arthritic hands to bring a little light to many people in these dark days. Musicians never stop playing they simply adapt.❤️
I am late to these videos having worked through this horrible time Of covid but what a treasure I found. I have been lucky enough to live right near broadway and have seen many of your shows on broadway and what a gift you have to this world ❤
I could listen to you play the piano all day. Thank you so much for the joy and happiness you are bringing into our lives during these dark times. Stay safe.
I sang this in a summer camp musical revue in the mid-80s... then a few years later played piano for a student production of Cats. Beautiful but indeed difficult music.
I saw CATS in NYC in the early nineties with my high school band classmates. It was so mesmerizing to see that show! I was a dancer and so of course I dreamed of the role of the white cat. But it was a fantastic experience to see that show when I was young! Just love your music!!
I wonder if you're thinking of when you first played these musicals when you play now. Thank you so much for the memories and listening to you play makes a whole lot of people happy! Can you please play something from Love Never Dies? I love both POTO and LND ❤
This was the first of your musicals I ever saw live. It was a national tour playing Providence, 30 years ago next month. CATS had me at JELLICLE SONGS FOR JELLICLE CATS. A fun song, by any standard. That night I discovered how you could do just about any style of music, and became a fan of your musicals. I snapped up any cast album I could find, and played them over and over😎. And here I am 30 years on, and getting to tell you how much your music became a part of my life. Thank you!!!🎶🎶🎶😊😊😊
