my 06 cummins 62/68-14 t4 over s475 t6. I ran my hot charge pipe the same way. kept blowing the lower intercooler boot. finally had v-band flanges tigged onto the intercooler and charge pipe end. o-ring flange of course. made a charge pipe mount off of the top core support bolts to give the hot pipe support because it has to stay stationary with the intercooler. I have not blown a boot since. I also love only having the one big 3inch flex boot by the valve cover. just less failure points the better.

Easiest way to strike an arc with Scratch Start TIG is touch the tungsten to the material and twist and lift the tungsten off the material to get the arc going just keep it nice and tight when doing so and do it quickly so you dont melt the tungsten into the material. Its not that hard its not much different that starting with Stick welder just takes a little practice.

Boost doesn't blow head gaskets. Cylinder pressure does.
@SUMMIT556
@SUMMIT556 3 года назад
@@Sargebro387 Correct. But boost/more air forces air into your cylinder causing more dense air and more potential for power. All turbos have a max efficiency range. But to keep things simple saying boost above a certain psi just helps out someone. Studs are a good idea no matter what
