I initially got into the watch community by watching Nico Leonard. While his content is entertaining, I could never get the level of information or pure quality that Teddy gives me. I often times find myself a lingering on his page as there is an endless amount of informational videos. Not only is the content really well made, I have had the pleasure of learning about the history of time pieces, which gives me a deeper appreciation of horology. I appreciate this channel immensely.

@@gabrielalonzo5093 I’ve been wanting to get a Maen for a while - I was going to pre-order the new Lunar Classic, but now they changed it so that it comes on a rubber tropic strap and the bracelet is an extra 100 euros. A tropic strap looks terrible on a 40’s inspired dress watch, and it appears that you can only buy the bracelet as an extra add-on, so they kinda lost me there

So happy to finally see CW's The Twelve mentioned by Teddy, feel like it's one where he's (for once) been a bit slow to give a nod - and having visited their shop in london and spending some time with the twelve on the wrist, can confirm it is even better in person. The finishing is incredible for a watch in that price range

ya but the channel pretends to cater to all enthusiasts extensively. But you are right. They only showcase the shit they sell. Things like the "bel canto" got so much attention here because it doesnt compete directly with his consumer base. But the things that make it so great can be said about any CW watch, but TB will pretend the likes don't exist if the price is comparable to what hes pushing. @@TheCanadianViper

I have numerous tudor, rolex, seikos, etc. When I saw the finish, fit and elegance of the royal, I bought it right away. Pictures and videos don't do it justice. It is one of the most striking watches out there and people always compliment. The day date function is beautiful. There is a true sporty elegance to this watch that pairs well with suits to t-shirts. It is a watch that I will never part with and one of my favorite in my collection. Ollech & Wajs just announced an amazing integrated bracelet watch, the “8001”. Legitimate Swiss brand with an amazing history related to the US military, Breitling and a crazy tool watch heritage. You should really look into this brand, you won’t be disappointed. I’m a professional polar explorer and I wear an Ollech & Wajs C-1000 during my polar expeditions. I have a Yema Superman (French Air Force) automatic. Great looking dive watch, wears nice (39mm). I have heard of people having issues with Yema movements, I have not had any issues with mine. I also haven't worn it much in the 3 years I've owned it, but I have worn it under normal use conditions (at work & while riding horses) with no problems from it being knocked around a bit. I understand that Yema is "hit or miss" with movement quality and don't plan on purchasing any other Yema watches.

Thank you Teddy. As usual, a great vid! I may be a victim of this fashion for sports-chic watches with integrated bracelets, but I fully assume it. However, I only have one: a PRX Powermatic 80 that I bought very shortly after its release. I still love it. It just as elegant as versatile. This is one of my 3 favorite watches from my modest collection. And it is certainly the cheapest of the three. If I had to buy another sport-chic watch, I think I would either go for the Twelve, or the Aikon, or the Highlife. Difficult choice!

Honestly, the ML Aikon is such a nice watch. It's a shame people see the bracelet as an AP knock-off despite it being different in design. The case and bracelet itself are just so comfortable and reflect light so well. Its only real let down for its price is the movement but only because the CW ward came out at a lower price point and also has a great design. I honestly don't think the PRX touches those 2 in terms of affordable integrated bracelets but its not supposed to, the PRX is in a price bracket of its own.
@user-vv1qm5dj9c
@user-vv1qm5dj9c Год назад
Exactly. The Twelve is close to double the price of the PRX after import charges. The comparisons are unfair. We can nitpick about each watch’s build but that build is also a function of cost and revenue. I am a perfectly happy PRX and Urban Traveller owner. I also own a CW diver so am a fan of these brands all the way around.

I just got a horage supersede. While it certainly not under $1,000, it's a fantastic integrated watch. You have the micro rotor, I've had people tell me that it looks like a patek or vacheron... The finishing is really nice, the feel of it is very good and the bracelet has a really nice micro adjustment system. I had been looking for a watch with an integrated bracelet and textured dial for a while and initially considered buying a more traditional brand, like the Tissot PRX, but it bothers me that it has such a thin or practically absent bezel, and I don't like the size options. In the end I had to decide between three options: -Yema Urban Traveller -Nivada Grenchen F77 (which was not included in this video) -Christopher Ward The Twelve. Comparing the various aspects such as the design, size, price and etc I chose Yema, wich I received about a week ago and REALLY like the size of 39 mm, the quality and finish. It's still too early to say but I'm very happy with the purchase.
