Comps! Talking Different Comp Options at SHOT Show 2024 

I hear that opinion and understand, but I don't personally know a single person who shoots these short grip guns without a magazine that has a sleeve to make up the difference. It would be great to have the longer grip as an option. I think that some of the other players understood that including Glock themselves with the G43X. Sig has the P365 X and XL. I just wonder if SS would do the same, but you may be right. It might be too expensive for now. @@ahhmeeb9354

I can say on my DR920 Elite I installed a Shadow Systems comp. On my MR920 Elite I installed the Radian Ram Jet and Afterburner. The Radian wins hands down. It makes plus P ammo feel like jello shots.

So you’re saying that a bigger gun with the thread on comp did not feel as good as a smaller one with the radian ramjet? That is huge. You’d think the DR would already have the advantage there especially when adding the thread on comp. I’ll be interested to see the comparison videos when SS’s small “radian like” comps hit the market. Especially up against the radians and their own thread on comps. My guess is the radian will win out but by how much and will a cost difference affect my decision on which to purchase.

I own both, and the slides interchange. I have a comp on my MR so the slide length isn't an issue. The shorter slide fits well on the 17 size frame.

That’s not what a 43x is. The 43x fits at best a stack and a half, whereas a MR920/G19 is a doublestack compact grip. The CR920 with the 13 round mag is the same grip as a 43x. Also because of this, the slides do NOT interchange, so I’m not sure what guns this other guy actually own. (maybe he’s confusing CR with a DR?)The MR920 slide is dang near twice the width of the of the CR(looking at my CR920, XR920, DR920p and MR918 Elites as I’m saying this.

No, it is cut to fit into the chamfers of a Shadow Systems slide and will not fit properly with another manufacturers pistol.

No. The XR920P has a longer dust cover on the frame. A suppressor would not be able to clear that part. It would be an option on the MRP, though due to the shorter dustcover.

Depends how open that holster is. I know some holsters claims they are open bottom, but only have a slot for a thread protector. But as long as it has enough clearance, a G19 holster will be compatible. It will hang out the bottom though. Or you can get a G34 close holster.

Both XRP and MRP fit G17 holsters

Take a look at hilliker holster. They have worked directly with them. I have one for my CR920P

No, I’m sorry, it won’t. The Thread On Comp has protrusions that fit into the slide cuts of the 920 series, which the MR918 does not have.

Wrong width. MR920 is substantially wider. Physically impossible.

This is such a tired take. 1. Comps on 9mm work. Even if it's just felt recoil. There are a ton of good companies making comps right now. 2. No one is saying they NEED a comp for 9mm. But until guns shoot like airsoft pistols, people are going to look for every advantage possible.

not true at all. I've shot and carry the HST 124GR +P and that comp makes a world of difference compared to my P365XL.

What a bunch of FUD. Have a G45 with ramjet. Big difference.

Comps literally do none of these things. You must have a garbage comp on your gun if it’s doing all these things. I own 5 guns that are comped and none of these throw flash and smoke and they all 100% lower recoil. Go to bed 😂
