Whats up brother, I gotta say thanks for the layout! I found you because I am switching up my life basically, I been a personal trainer and Corrections officer but wanted something more ont he tech side. The Sec Admin / engineer both rub me the right way haha. I am just nervous because I am 38 and just diving into this. Is the Comptia Security+ really that good?
Greetings. Helping to put together resumes is not a service I offer. However, there is a company I refer people to that may offer assistance 👉🏽 www.technologygee.com/pathrise/
I got my Security+ back at the end of may. Unfortunately no formal education, and no current security clearance, which seems to be holding me back quite a bit. I also don’t have my A+ or any other certification. I was an IT consultant for a friend who owned their own company for about 4 years, but it wasn’t an official position. I’m looking to change my career path into IT, the area I live in is HEAVILY geared toward Gov and gov contractor positions in IT. Do you have any advice for me?
For these “entry” level jobs, do they expect you to already know how to do the job when they hire you, or is their on the job training to help get you acclimated?
Most entry-level jobs will train you once you get hired, however a lot do expect you to have some type of entry-level certification just to apply for the job. If you're interested in getting certified, click this link here: www.technologygee.com/it-certification-study-materials/
Hey quick question - I am working on getting my IF+ certification. Do you believe I would be able to get an entry level job with that cert or do you recommend I get A+ as well? Thanks in advance!
