Kendrick Lamar was a straight "A" student at Centennial High School in Compton, so even though he did not earn a college degree himself, this Pulitzer Prize recipient knows he is talking about LIFE better than any PhD degree. Congratulations to Compton College graduates Class of 2024!
I was there for my cousin and lost my mind seeing my favorite artist just appear from the entrance underneath where i was sitting 😭 he even waved at me on his way out dude, he's just so genuine and amazing person and artist through and through
I am still grieving about my dad’s funeral, got cheated by my gf, working 40 hours a week, going to college as full time student, I was really tired and just kept on going.I am really touched by Mr Lamar speech. It gives me hope, bigger than I ever wanted.
GOD'S got a plan for you, even though it may seem tough right TRUST, when it's difficult TRUST, when you don't understand TRUST... THERE'S A PLAN FOR YOU... HOLD ON ❤
@@kaelthunderhoof5619 yeah Kendrick always showed help and love to compton and support to it's people , idk what the hell was drake thinking when he wrote that line tbh
I’ve done this before and I’m not even a religious person. I was really going thru it and God was the only person I felt like I could talk to, so I did it, out loud. Full conversations. It worked.
@@Iustusxi As I said, I’m not religious. So, God to me just isn’t a “He”. It’s more than that, to me. So I just did what felt the most comfortable to me at that time in my life.
Ay man, give it a try sometime. Just talk with the Man. Don't be surprised if the voice you hear back (so to say) is real quiet. Sometimes you gotta get away from the noise to hear it. But he's always there.
Take this from someone who isn’t religious: when people talk to God, they’re speaking out loud. It’s a way of walking yourself through difficult things. What we feel inside is harder to work through if we don’t vocalize it and make sense of it other ways. So even if you don’t follow a God, remember it’s always helpful to walk yourself and talk yourself situations that may be difficult.
My favorite videos of Kendrick Lamar are his interactions with students, because you can see his passion and appreciation for learning. This man is a treasure who will be remembered hundreds of years from now.
He knew the attention his first public appearance would be and how much his words would be paid attention to not just by the graduates, but by the world, and he presented a life that is so grounded, in-tune, and loving. King Kendrick
Congratulations graduates!! Lord I swear, Kendrick would be the greatest US President. A patriot proud of his roots, loves God, is sharp and well versed. When we stop playin as a country, we need this man to lead us.
Congratulations to the graduating class 🎉 Kendrick this is how you talk about God to a graduating class. Not like that other dude who was telling the women graduates to find a husband 🙄. Lead people to God and He will guide them where they need to be.
He is not our savior but damn he really is such a role model worth looking up to. So well spoken he's really like the Kobe of rap, his influence deserves to extend outside of music like Kobe's
