I love how defensive purple shirt guy was the whole time, "Nah, you ain't playin' me. I see what you're trying to do!" And then realizes the game was WAY deeper than he could have possibly imagined. Haha.
Out of all the tricks I ever saw David perform, I watched this the first time it was on tv and this one trick was by far the most impressive to me. Instantly made me a David Blaine fan for life.
@@dub._dub4542 After David shows the ace of hearts, he switches it with a queen. Then at 1:04, he literally just shoves a queen into the guys hand and takes the ace of diamonds back. Then he slight of hand switch the ace of diamonds for a queen and just gives the guy that queen. Easiest way to describe it is every time he gives the guy a new card its a queen, and he just says its an ace.
Compton really isn’t what you think it is lmao. As a person who grew up there, I’ve seen so many stereotypes that make it seem way worse than it actually is.
@@alexgraal2860 they choose to ignore you because you are telling the truth. They only want to hear about the bad news. That is why you have only one like. So I'm gonna like it now to make it two.
David Blaine deserves nothing but RESPECT for his career. Dude was legit to the core when it came to his crazy stunts and he was (IS) a great magician!
@@peteturnervideography Honestly just watched a few minutes of his JRE. I respect his crazy threshold to endurance and pain BUT I'm much more intrigued by his magic skills-just my little opinion.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dVkRp-145PY.html The guy at 1:28 made the *exact* same note as Chris D'Elia did. Literally same sound, same note, same pitch, same octave.
@@siktwistofFATE89 Something like that should only be disrespectful if it's meant as disrespect. Otherwise, it's insecure and small minded to find it as disrespect. In this instance it's a lack of awareness. The guy called him on it, the other guy apologised, end of story.
@@ateam137 all I'm saying is in the hoods you can get really hurt stepping on someones shoes.where I grew up even if it was accident your getting hit I dont condone it.just facts of how things are in these kinds of neighborhoods.
@@siktwistofFATE89 I hear you. I grew up in the same type of environment. But, it always bothered me how sensitive we could be when things weren't intentional.
well, he TOLD them how the trick works, the joke was that he thought one of those cards was still the hearts when he had already switched them. There was no actual trick, per se.
At 0:50 David does a double lift and shows the heart but is actually holding a queen. At 1:08 he gives the subject the queen and takes the diamond. At 1:13 David quickly pulls the diamond off screen where he swaps it with another queen he had ready at the top of the deck and then hands it to the subject resulting in the subject having two queens. The double lift is a terrifyingly effective sleight.
Its 3ple lift bro and switch lol . What are saying double lift? Im a magician 1 year later don't saying cause you cant use double lift in that tricks lmao.
David is just brilliant at distractions, he always keeps talking and makes sure his audience eyes are drawn to what he wants them to see. Such a great trick 💙
I love David Blaine because his content is so wholesome, just sharing magic with real people. I get frustrated by videos like this, because the key to the puzzle is literally just off screen by design, but I remember the joy it brought me before I knew how a lot of these tricks are done, so I’ll try to be less of a curmudgeon
Make any of these guys worth 600,000 to a million dollars and they are out of compton so fast and into a White Neighborhood. Just like your NBA Players.
dudes friend at like 1:40 after he did the trick “u look stupid” had me dying, the street magic is the best thing Blaines done and one of reasons im a fan of the guy. he seems to genuinely jusy love what he does and sharing it with people
I had this DVD when it first came out and learned how to do a lot of these tricks from rewinding and slow mo 😭😭😭 I was so young, but used to do these on everyone. I loved card magic. Wish I stuck with it.
WTF this was filmed literally two houses away from my grandparents house where I grew up. Hahahahaha right in front of CPT High school. Wow so cool. I’m surprised I wasn’t on my bike playing in the street during this. 😆
I like to think David is the only person on earth who learned how to pause time and he will never tell a soul. But he's actually just that good at endurance and skill.
LOL didnt even notice this ever .. Although, maybe when he peeked, what was actually happening under the cars that split second cast him to another dimension, as you no longer see him in the video after that
I like how dude was calling his friend stupid as if he wouldn't have been tricked. I feel bad for Big Purple, he probably won't volunteer for something next time he has the chance
@@MrSamoannn Watch the trick with audio muted so he's not distracting you, and keep in mind that when he "speed switches" he's not actually switching anything. It becomes kind of obvious what he's doing, but he's a master of distraction.
David Blaines Card tricks is all about confidence.. watch how he didn’t stop talking the whole time and making the guy think he’s actually teaching him after swapping the cards but actually that’s the hook of the whole trick. He took the diamonds off and swap it before putting it back in the mans fingers
