Con Air is a 1997 American action thriller film directed by Simon West, written by Scott Rosenberg, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film stars Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and John Malkovich, with Steve Buscemi, Colm Meaney, Mykelti Williamson, Rachel Ticotin, Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Dave Chappelle, Nick Chinlund, Jesse Borrego, Jose Zuniga, and Monica Potter in supporting roles.

One of the things I love so much about this show is the friendship between these people. Doug and Rob are technically the bosses from what i can tell, but the whole group feels like a group of friends having a fun time doing something they love.

For someone who hates on late 90s summer movies, Doug sure has a lot of favorites from that era: Con Air, Face/Off, Mask of Zorro, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Iron Giant, etc... Not to mention summer-style blockbusters such as Starship Troopers, Prince of Egypt, Babe Pig in the City, etc...

You're saying he "Sure hates on late 90s summer movie," but then name a bunch of good films that happen to be late 90s summer movies, as if liking those few means that he really likes most late 90s summer movies when those make up a tiny fraction of them. Just because someone likes a small bunch of films from a genre does not mean that they don't hate on the genre (or even like it). It just means that they like those specific ones because they thought they worked for whatever reason. Also, preemptively in case it somehow gets brought up by someone: I'm not talking about my own like or dislike for the genre.

This was the movie that my Daddy would ask every single person that came over if they've seen it. If they hadn't then they'd get forced to watch it. It got to the point where Momma would tell people ahead of time "If he asks you if you've seen Con Air, say yes." She hates that movie now.

This is one of the only First Viewing's I've watched where we see where the jokes came from! Malcolm on the Chapelle character Tamara on the twitter joke Cinema sob on "my car's in hot pursuit" Honestly kinda great to see how these just came about fresh and ended up being in the final cut

Being a teen in the 90’s meant our movies didn’t need character development or realistic dialogue, or a plot, just Cage and explosions and we gleefully handed over $5 bucks to watch a flick.
