I use my Revlon One-Step to put my wild hair back together when I wake up each day in less than 5 minutes. I have never been good at blow drying my hair but mastered the Volumizer in no time. I usually need to use a blow dryer to get my started when I wash it bc its very wavy and frizzy but then I can finish it into a style with Revlon Volumizer. What I like about the travel one that you have here is that I will be able to clean it since the brush is detachable. After using it daily for 9 months, the bristles need more than just combing thru. From your demo, the travel one really can be used on a daily basis so I am def going to get one- so thanks for the demo and detailed explanations. Very helpful!
I was given the Infinity Pro as a gift, and the instructions clearly say to use a blow dryer first to get the hair 80% dry before using. I agree that it's not very powerful, however, I think for someone with finer hair texture it would be great. I do love the way it smooths the hair.
I also like the smaller brush and it seems like it does a bouncier curl and better at the roots and I am from Texas and have fine hair so girl I need that root lift
For me Conair is the only tool that doesn’t demage my hair and makes them super soft and smooth. You can definitely see the difference with a longer use. I had Revlon one-step dryer brush but it really burned my hair. Conair takes longer and you need to pre-dry your hair but results are much better without damaging ur hair. I have thin, bleached hair so I need something more gentle.
@@ElevateBeautyCo what spray do u use? I always use a heat shield too, but it’s not like u can cover every single hair in it, I do spray it very generously but then I need to wash my hair at the end of the day cause they’re greasy 🙄 and then washing them too often makes it dry.. never ending battle
Thanks! I also have fine bleached highlights and some hair damage. Ive been researching all these similar products. Found the Conair by chance while browsing a store. Nobody’s making videos on it, so thank you both!
The Conair did a MUCH better job - visibly - giving you a sleek bouncy blowout with body and bend! The reason you found it “painfully slow” is because your hair was WAY too wet to start with (they tell you 80% dry first) and MOST importantly the Conair doesn’t get BLASTINGLY HOT and fry your hair so it may take a little longer but SO worth it to avoid heat damage!
You’re absolutely right it did! Because it doesn’t get SCORCHINGLY hot it may take a bit longer on thick hair, but it dies a great job of giving a smooth bouncy blowout. And your hair cannot be sopping wet when you start with ANY of these blowout brushes.
To be fair, the Hot Tools one isn't advertised as being a travel size or mini size. It's advertised as having a smaller barrel, which can be interchanged with a bigger barrel or the other tips that go on it. They advertise the barrel as being 30% smaller than the other one, in order to boost the roots and get smaller curls vs the bigger one which is better for a more voluminous blowout.
I love hot air brushes, but they've gotten too big for my current hair length. Thanks for the demo. I'm surprised you didn't like the Conair dryer. I just got the Conair Wild Primrose with 3 attachments. Maybe I should post a video.
You should, it really helps to have different hair styles showing these products! _To be fair, the ConAir is better when drying the hair a bit prior to use._
PRICING?? The Hot Tool comes in 3 sizes, 1.5", 2.4", and 2.8", which one is the one tested? Hot Tool is 1100 watts, you said Infinity was 500Watts. More watts = better/faster. Which choice is yours?
We find the larger rectangular shape one just too big to handle for the hands. My daughter and I each have one; she likes the smaller one that is rounder. For us, it just seems easier to deal with. So for us the Conair infiniti pro works better.
Sorry for the delayed reply (2020 was a difficult year.) The Hot Tools does give me more static, but I also use the L'ange heat shield to limit static when using heat tools in general.
My goto is actually the Revlon One-Step. I like the bigger barrel for my short hair. If it is too small I get too much curl and a bit more frizz. _Everybody's hair is different, so it is hard to recommend what is best for each person, thanks for watching!_
I used a hot brush stick back in the 70s. The brush only went 2/3 the way around but it was fab I think it was a Revlon. I recently renewed my love for this type of dryer buying the Conair. It’s really lightweight and does a great job on partially damp hair
I have the purple Hot Tools one. I was excited to use it because of the brand name, but it has damaged my hair and left it dry, brittle and unruly! My hair doesn't hold the style. Anyone else had a similar experience? I so very much wanted to love it, but am so disappointed!
My first thought was maybe the Infinity would be good for my thin white (I'm 66 and no more coloring for me) hair. Most of the reviews I've watched on these types of dryers say they are very hot which is holding me back buying one. Thank you for this review.
I have very textured hair and I love the Conair! I dry it a bit on cool setting, spray my hair with heat protectant than crank the heat up and brush my hair with the attachment in sections. This week I didn’t even use my flat iron!
One more question: How does the purple Hot Tools (Signature series) compare with the black one (Black Gold series)? Black Gold is pricier and also has the smaller barrel.
I really appreciate how straight to the point to were and you didn't waste time on other topics and kept the video on the main subject. I thought I would have to skip around but the video was really helpful. Thank you! Hot Tools it is!
Hi there....I'm a HUGE fan of the original Revlon!! I'm wondering if you think the slightly smaller head on the Hot Tools would be better for shorter hair?
I don't notice a huge difference in volume or shape, however with a smaller price point and the added bonus of being able to remove the head for storage and travel... would be a great option for short hair.
