Something so unique about your builds compared to the other RU-vid builders. There's an element of realism to your creations, just bravo man. Excellent tutorials btw, lots of great details you cover.
Man bro your videos really did wonders for me. These short building techniques really helped me. Thank you so much and I really appreciate your vid’s. 🙌🏻
A variant on the pillar bridge which I have used is to use foundations in lieu of the pillars for the support. One can then add some simple, but nice decorative features such as inverted sloping walls combined with ramps or the sloping ceiling pieces to create a visual that gives the appearance of additional support. It looks nice, too. I never knew how many blocks long the drawbridges are, so this information will be very helpful. I once attempted to do a T shaped drawbridge. I was able, through trial and error, to connect the cross piece of the bridge, but I never was able to get the stem to line up right. I might have to attempt this again, now that I know the distance between needs to be either 4 blocks or 8, depending upon how I decide to go about it. I REALLY love the look of the foundation bridges, especially with the archways in between. The arches add both aesthetic value- to an already great design- and an element of realism, especially when the bridge is crossing water. One question I have concerning this, however, is if it is possible to use the vaulted ceilings for the arches as the top layer, rather than with the foundation on top? Loved the bridge @9:10 and how you actually combined elements from both the drawbridge and the foundation bridge into this. I also really liked the 'defensive' elements of the gate houses added into this.
These look so good! Nice job! I'm trying to get some ideas to bridge the desert to the highlands via PriestKing's retreat, will give that foundation/archway bridge a try :)
I'm struggling with making a functional tree house base. Could you give me any pointers or even just inspiration? Your vids are very helpful and your builds make me jealous lol Also maybe a gatehouse tutorial? The gates snap across three tile edges or across two tile centres. There's many things you can do with gatehouses
Yes, I loved that one! I would also love to see the build video for that bridge. In the comments section of the video for the palace itself, he mentioned that it would be in "pt. 2 of that build, but I do not see it anywhere. 😞 Also, I agree that it would look amazing if it was connected to a castle or palace.
new to Conan Exiles, been playing in singleplayer mode, game its good, but my main issue is the snapping points when trying to snap building pieces, so limited and such a pain, even Valheim has way more freedom when building, noticed this game has MODS, maybe i'll look for a MOD like that once I'm done learning the basics and discovering a few things.
You can, just keep in mind the gateway is still only 3 foundations wide, so the wider you go, the drawbridge and gateway will still only be the same size.
How can I line up the foundations when they are so far apart? I want to build a hanging bridge over a canyon and don't know how to connect the platforms. Any tipps?
The easiest way is to start by placing foundations on one side of the canyon, then extend them towards the canyon, and then down the side of the cliff. When you get to the bottom, extend the foundations across the bottom of the canyon and up the cliff wall on the other side. When you get to the top, delete all the foundations in the middle of your two foundations, which should be lined up at that point. I actually might put out a tutorial on how to do this in the near future.
For the Foundation Bridge, you can substitute a wall for the Fence foundation. The wall and the fence foundation both allow for raising or lowering a foundation piece next to them. Why is this important? Because after you adjust the heights of the foundations you can replace foundations (with some effort) with pillar and wall pieces to make the structure purge resistant. Foundations and fence foundations dropped through the ground/water mesh will trigger Purges
@@DrB048 I found it turns out console version (Xbox one specifically is what I'm on) has multiple add-ons that have to be purchased and the bridge building is accessable buy purchasing the Debaucheries of Derkato pack. Edit: only base game is accessable through game pass while all DLC add-ons MUST be purchased to use anything the base game doesn't offer.
I'm trying to build a bridge right now across to big hills and it won't let me places the vertical beams under the ceiling piece. So I can't build my bridge which is aggravating. Does anyone know how to get it to work?
@@DrB048 I was using the decorative beam because it's the only thing I've got I'm level 60 but don't know if I've got other options I can unlock. But I just changed it to a foundation bridge so I'm good now. But thank you and that's what I was trying to use.
The short answer is yes. You can get the marble style archways from the architects of argos dlc, the stone archways from the blood & sand dlc, and the black metal looking ones from the Isle of siptah dlc.
@@SirFloofy001 It's a 2 x 3 block that's 6 walls high, I thought it was pretty self explanatory. Here is a link to a drawbridge I did that you might be looking for ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cQGEThEzEo8.html
