Sona is getting better and better at playing into bits now. Beginning of the show she was more an audience surrogate kind of laughing along but now she's truly moving it along. Great to see comic progression for the chill chums.
She's definitly more comfortable, but I LOVE how her mind isn't in "BIT MODE" like Conan's, even tho i also love Conan's CONSTANT bits, Sona is still real and they compliment eachother PERFECTLY, I'd never want her to be completely dedicated to "yes and", I love the strife and battles they all have
Mallwalkin' requires no advance knowledge of Los Angeles area malls. When Sona came on the podcast, she brought clothes with her that she needed to return, and did the whole thing while holding a microphone
I keep coming back to this clip for two reasons: 1) Conan trying to get Sona to back him up, only for Sona to ask excited questions about Mallwalkin' 2) Conan refusing to use Matt's friend's name and making up new names every minute.
It still amazes me that Conan, his assistant, and the guy they got to produce his podcast have become my absolute favourite comedy trio. Can't wait to check out Mall Walkin' with Matt and Zippy Schweigert.
Same! I was so nervous, I can't imagine CONAF without the Chill Chums. I already listened to the Mallwalkin' episode with Sona before I heard this on the podcast. And I probably replayed this part for over 10x now. 🤣
Haha at first I pictured his podcast as “Mall Walken”, where they go to malls and do Christopher Walken - Weapon of Choice dance moves in front of horrified senior citizens on their morning mall walks 😂

Matt Girly’s body of work in this realm is massive and hilarious. I’ve been listening to him for years and I still keep finding connections to other content that makes me laugh my ass off. Superego is spectacular. Pistol Shrimps come Mall Walkin’ is rediculous. James Bonding is an amalgamation of funny AF guests, including, inexplicably, Cary Grant and Ian Fleming. And there is more out there.
I loved this episode. Matt and especially Sona were in super-great form here. Everyone was super quotable here too. I hope Matt posts his podcast on "RU-vid," especially his "BttF" mall walk.
Suggestion: the SQUAD should go Mallwalkin'! I mean just in general, if they incorporated outing and going in public, it could take the podcast into new exciting and interesting directions!
I was in the middle of taking a sip when Conan said, "I hope you are attacked by teenagers." I spit out my drink instantly and laughed so hard. Maybe a little came out my nose too. 😂
Sure enough, as soon as I finished this podcast, I listened to Sona's episode of Mallwalkin' and had some good laugh, specially when they tried to use the "I'm Conan's assistant" to get out of trouble 🤣🤣

When me and a friend were tween we invented a story that people who walk slow through malls, stop suddenly, or linger in front of windows were actually victims to have been inhabited by a type of ghost called "The Mall Walker" and they were trapped in the mall until someone broken them out of it.
Holy crap!! I never put it together that this was the Pistol Shrimps guy!!! I loved that podcast! That was the podcast that inspired my friends and I to start our own. You know…back in the early days, before everyone had a podcast 😂
