Pretty strait forward and easy to understand. I have run into stability problems when I use the pillar trick. The pillars on corners don't transfer any stability to the ceiling of walls they are attached to unless the ceiling is centered on the pillar. Good info for beginning builders.👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah that can be a real stumbling block with the pillar trick, corner pillars can be really finicky at times. You have to essentially have a design that can stand on its own, but is also pre-planned for pillars. It can be a nightmare at the best of times 😂
Really well put, to the point and simple. Thanks. I've always found building stability an odd thing in Conan. FC wants it to be more realistic.. all the while, bone fire breathing dragons and glowing blue zombies are running about in the world. Lol.. Thanks again for the great vid.!
always make my buildings as realistic as possible for the sake of immersion. i think of what would work and wouldnt work in real life, and build around that parameter in game. funnily enough, i rarely ever run into a stability issue. even when building an absolutely megalithic castle. i think taking a realistic approach to building in this game goes a long way. the most issues i have when building is when i try to build something thats more fantasy and less realistic
Basing it on real life is generally a fairly good barometer of success, with a couple of expcetions. Even fantasy stuff can work once you've got stability nailed down, that learning curve is just quite punishing 😂
