Someone please explain to me how Sarah DOES NOT have a million subscribers??!! I’ve learned more on her channel than Laura Lee & Tati combined! Real makeup for real women! What is your favorite color? Let’s do our girl a favor a boost her video!
@@AllBeautyBySarah thank you, but honestly your concealing videos have helped me so much! My dark circles are awful and hereditary you have taught me how to conceal them and have given me confidence. I know am willing to take photos and look at them and see me without seeing dark circles. THANK YOU!! PS I went out with my family for dinner and we took a bunch of photos and you can’t see the darkness in them! I was floored!! Xoxo 😘
Saaaaaammme she made me feel like a human and not an ogre with unfixable dark eyes. The makeup artists at Sephora had no idea what I meant when I said setting powder turns my undereyes GRAY
@@jennifer41190 YES! She is so knowledgeable about real makeup on real women! One of these days she will go viral and we can say we’ve watched her first 😀
I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you. I want to buy tart concealer but it's a little expensive. I m just not sure yet. Lol. But Do you have anything on your current skincare routine?
Check out Ulta. Sometimes you can get it 50% off. @least 2-3 times a year. You have to check often. They also have minis that are perfect sized for trying and priced reasonably. You can also get them as GWP sometimes.
I have a question: with the bare minerals well rested powder, do you get any flashback since it has SPF? I always wanted to pick this up but SPF flashback scares me. I’ve been haunted since using make up forever under eye powder lol
This was great, I have tried the same thing before, but saidly, both shape tape and the well-rested powder from bm look super cakey on me. I own both. Both worn together, then, impossible. Said. Lots of fine to thick lines on my under eye area. Plus melasma spots (and yes, I use good eye creams, oils, sunscreen and so on..) so, no hope for me.. 😑
There is no method, outside of cosmetic procedures, to completely camouflage and hide those creases. Moisturizer, tiny dab of primer, and no setting may work best. Powder not directly on the lines may be okay though to help with darkness.
I don't use concealer for this reason :(. I wanted to love concealer like everyone else. I self taught make up during the pandemic bought so many concealers, high end and drug store. Just hoping. I finally gave up and tried a bunch of things. I did finally find a way to brighten the area and somewhat blur the lines. I start by patting my under eyes with freezing cold water on a wash cloth a few times to minimize the blood vessels and help puffiness and lines. Then I use a tiny bit of the ordinarys caffeine serum and let it dry. I moisturize with glow recipe banana souffle brightening moisturizer on my face, sometimes under my eyes as well, or I use NO.7 eye firming gel (blue tube), applying super gently with my ring finger, no rubbing, mostly patting. Then I use a tinted moisturizer (no foundation anymore). Right now I'm really into Smashbox primer and tinted moisturizer in one. I put that almost all the way to my under eye, but stop right before my fine lines. I gently blend by tapping with my fingers or a damp beauty sponge. I finish my using mostly cream products because they don't crease as much as powder. Then I go in with what I found to be a HUGE life saver for my wrinkly, crinkley under eyes... Hourglass Ambient pallette. It's powder but it really blurs. I use dim edit all over as a setting powder and then use the lighter one, diffused edit under my eyes and a little over my lids. I swipe it on with a kubuki brush and it only takes a little bit. The way this is formulated really diffuses light and gives the illusion of less wrinkles. I recently bought the newest pallets and I'm playing with different colors but so far, this has been the best of cream or powder to help with my wrinkles. On rushed mornings, I don't even use the tinted moisturizer, just skin care and the ambient pallete. I have light skin with freckles so the diffused is perfect to brighten my under eye, but I'm sure dim or ethereal would work for darker skin tones. It's a bit expensive, but worth it, in my opinion. Also starting with freezing water, the caffeine serum and banana moisturizer have also been a game changer. Sorry so long, I love to share what I've found to help others because my biggest issue is my crinkley under eyes. Good luck!
I must say I really appreciate you not using any filters. Admittedly, I got into makeup a little bit with very unrealistic expectations for what it would look like once applied on my skin. It is nice to see makeup without a filter for once. And it still looks great.
I've been using the Becca undereye brightener corrector for a long time now. I find that even with using a darker shade of concealer, I can still see some grey, its definitely worse some days than others. I did notice using a darker shade of concealer does look better than a lighter shade, I just feel like I can never truly hide the darkness. I have no idea what to do.
Try using a corrector that is more peach than pink. A lot of “peach” correctors are more like a salmon shade. It took me a couple years to find one that completely neutralizes the darkness without a grey cast.
@@j.c.r.9587 I would recommend the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Corrector in peach. It looks scary in the tube but it works for me. It’s very pigmented. I’m sure Sarah has a review on it.
@@arielts06 I have similar problem: even if I use peach cpncealer, and orange color corrector case my dark circles bluish+ purple. (I’m mixing yellow and red correctors), I also use brightening powder and brightening corrector But still have grey color :( It’s only a slightly better than results without so much products.
@@АнастасияЦыганкова-ю4ь It could be the depth of the corrector or just not the right shade. I don’t use any brightening products under my eyes so I don’t know how that is affecting it. I prefer my under eyes to match my skin tone because that’s the best way I can cover the darkness and look somewhat natural.
Great tips! I have a video series suggestion: have you already tried retinol eye cream to treat under eye fine wrinkles? It works, but it takes at least 6 months to see results. The most famous recommended ones are the Neutrogena one and the Avene one. Some people are too sensitive for Retinol so Olay has a peptide one and another one with peptides and vitamin C to brighten the eye area. I just thought since you're an eye area make up expert lol you can expand your expertise to skin care. Dr Vanita Rattan has a special cream for under eye pigmentation for people of color. Please consider these suggestions as they will be useful for your viewers as well. Now that we know how to conceal why not try to fix the root issues. Thank you
Thanks! This confirms what Ive recently decided, which is that Ive been buying concealer much too light for my genetic dark undereyes, and that Im much better off using Becca color correcting brightener under the whole undereye and a small amount of darler concealer just along the inner eye darkness and along the lowest 'shadow line' of my eye bag. This keeps the heavier product away from my outer crinkle areas, so my makeup doesnt crease as much on my 47 year old skin. I DO have issues with 99% of the setting powders making the undereye look much less covered, almost immediately. Once the deweyness of the becca corrector and my infallible pro glow concealee are tamped down and mattified by even my most natural powders, the concealing effect is cut by about 20%... due to minimal light reflection. Ive tried powders supposed to reduce that maytifying effect, and barely have any on the brush, and its still not ideal. Best ive found so far is this reflexive Milani palette, which is about 1/2 powders and 1/2 highlighters....not ideal. Id also rather not leave powder totally off, or evrn my waterproof mascara on top lashes only ends up transferring to dewey undereye. Ill try yhe bare minerals, but any specific powder product uou can recommend thats most ideal when youre avoiding baked, mattified look and going for translucency. Also setting w spray.
I will buy the sigma duo because I’m always on the hunt for a good corrector (I forget, what is your opinion of the Bobbi Brown one that comes in a stick?) but the Bare minerals I already own & it is DEF not everyday friendly IMO. It really needs to be worked in (otherwise it gets to concentrated & patchy/creases) and I feel like that’s not good for my wrinkles to have to buff it in more than any other product I own. It’s also ULTRA brightening so great for special occasions but it’s too much for an everyday thing 🤷🏻♀️.
Doesn’t all that under the eye make it cakey? I love bare minerals well rested , I can use it alone and it looks fantastic on my 61 year old skin, been a fan for years, tfs
I watched this video shortly after I had already done my under 👀 eyes! And it works perfectly 🥰 💞 👌 😌 I even went for a good walk worked up a sweat and it still looks perfect 🥰 💞 👌 my under eyes are super similar to yours, so I am always looking at how you do yours🤗👍😁
Hi Sarah! I am new to your channel and I have the same under eye problems as you! Can you please tell me what you use to HYDRATE your under eyes? I cannot seem to make a corrector work because they always make my skin look dry. No matter what I do.
What do you use to hydrate under your eyes? No matter what concealers I try, I feel like they always look soooo dry or cakey. I have tried different eye creams and find tons that feel hydrating, but then I don’t think they mix well with concealers maybe?
So happy I found your channel! Been doing my under eyes all wrong for so long! I hate my under eyes and suffer with bad dark circles. Will definitely be trying these recommendations!! I tried using a better matching concealer and I see a difference! Now I just have to find a better under eye corrector that will work for me.
Can u recommend an under eye color Drugstore corrector thats goods for mature/dehydrated/wrinkly skin? Something like the benefit booing/original peach medium from benefit? The beauty pie is kind of expensive as i am not a member. Is the moira one or the catrice color corrector good? I heard the pixi petra is bit drying :( thanks
Hi Sarah. I’ve just discovered your Chanel, and I love the way you explain all about under eyes circles. This has been my nightmare since I was 10 yo. and I’m 55 now. I’ve tried a lot, really A LOT, of different products and techniques, and now I’m using the color corrector+concealer technique. I use almost all the ones you have, but there are some of the I can not find here in Spain. Do you have any dupe for the bareMinerals Well rested eye powder? I would really love to try it. XO
Honey, I feel like your fine lines, mostly come from DRYNESS. Keep them extra moisturized good eye cream and even oils. I feel like you will benefit from it tonz.
Can you wear purple or blue eyeshadow without accentuating the darkness under eyes? If so, can you show us how? When I try those colors I look like I have a black eye.
Hey I have deeper eye circles then u and I found that the kind brand has this compact powder that does the same and its better then my pat mc grath under eye powder. I'm gonna try this one thanks for the recommendation on
I love Well Rested for adding just a bit more coverage to concealers that have the right formula less coverage. Thing is not to over apply, it gets really caked looking Using too much….your method is perfection, less of a chance to over apply as it’a already set concealer.
i'm having a hard time finding a corrector that's not too dark. I am pale to light skin. Any ideas? My circles are pretty bad. They're more purple/red than blue
Noooo! Hopefully they change that soon 🤞🏼 In the meantime, I would recommend the Smashbox X Becca under eye brightener ☺️ You can find it in Sephora and it works great with everything else that I mentioned in this video 😁
