I wear those type of pants all the time and I'm definitely NOT law enforcement. Tactical pants are just well suited for EDC plus anything else I may want or need to carry.

Her draw time will be too slow to surprise anyone unfortunately. Got to lift and clear the shirt which can be done quickly but require two hand. So It just not the smartest way to carry but it the only way to conceal if you don't have a top layer. so I don't really mind it. The problem is how the grip is pressing into her stomach... I may be wrong but I can't imagine that she would be able to smoothly and quickly draw her gun when half of it is in her skin... She can't even get a full grip... let alone all the friction that will occur when she draw.

Personally, I EDC either the Kimber micro 9, the Wilson Combat SFX9 (10 rd frame with 15 rd mag) with either the 3.25 or 4 in barrel (situation dictates), or (soon, as it's not here yet) the staccato cs. Each and every one of those will outperform any canik, glock, s&w, etc in every category; to include concealability, better draws, much easier to put incredibly accurate shots on target with rapid fire, MUCH better muzzle climb/recoil control; etc. Had been lugging around glocks, xds's, xd's, etc for over a decade, and when I decide to treat myself with what I thought was "a bit of a nicer pistol"; I was friggin STUNNED at the differences on every single level. Seriously; get you any one of those I've listed above, and experience pistol shooting in a way you likely never imagined possible. Enjoy! Here's my problem with appendix carry - it goes against one of the basic rules of firearms safety. You're walking around with a handgun pointed right at your dick all day. I know, I know, all of the sealteam six wanna-be, super tactical heroes (who have never been in a street fight) say it's perfectly fine and safe (with proper training, technique, discipline and a "safe", well maintained gun) but you're still walking around with a gun pointed at your body. If just ONE thing goes wrong (wrong holster, something gets in the trigger guard while re-holstering, striker malfunctions when you fall, etc etc etc) you shoot your balls. And there's no coming back from that. I say do what you want, and admit I carried AIWB for years (glock 26) but these days I've gone back to a traditional position.

​@@Carl55_jcit doesn't point at you if done right maybe when sitting it might point at you. You always make sure the holster is clear by looking the gun back into it and with the proper techniques you never flag yourself. Get yourself a hammer fired pistol and you wont have to worry about the striker and most striker fired pistols are only half cocked and the trigger travel does the rest. If it does slip it won't hit the primer hard enough not to mention firing pin blocks

@@sarahhauptman Thanks for your feedback Ms. Hauptmann. I work at an office all day and don’t want a piece of iron digging in my pelvis when I am seated. I am thinking a smart carry holster and a Ruger LCP might be a good choice.

They are from 5.11 Tactical. Very comfortable, with good pockets. Just read the reviews before you pick which model you want. Some of them are better for different body types. These are the "Stryke" model pants. I also like their Defender jeans with the extra hip pocket, which may be discontinued.

With a compatible holster shell, yes. :) Although depending on your body shape and wardrobe, a gun that size might be hard to conceal in general.

@Dedrea glock 19 is a little big for most people but it can definitely be done
