Nice Video! have you tried an AS2559/GR type antenna? you can build one more easy and it might be better for NVIS comms. I use one for NVIS but it also gives me quite a bit of DX depending on height and element configuration. unlike the T2FD, no RF is lost so if your running out in the bush on battery you might get some more operating time and reach, though in ultra difficult situations, when the auto tuner is down and you need to communicate - the T2FD might be superior. I use both for tactical HF comms. Both are great designs coming out of our Military!
