Besides from the new mob the rest isn't really new, the pale garden biome is just a white version of a dark oak forest biome and honestly it's kinda annoying and lame that mojang keeps reusing the same content slap a new texture and call it a day. I really do hope more comes because the biome just looks bland. What the biome needs is more creepy sounds, fog and particles to give off more of a spooky vibe. The creaking also needs to deal way more damage as a half a heart is lame, like even a zombie does more damage haha. What else needs to happen is are spooky stuff like mysterious plants and maybe dead trees as well. Another mob they could add could be like a raven/crow that only spawns in that biome and they are hard to catch but they could drop like a black feather that could be used in a item that helps the player in some way such as having enough feathers could allow the player to add a gliding effect when attached to a pair of boots or a method of gliding down from heights that is a usable item that is held in the offhand. Something that makes players want to come to this biome otherwise no one will really care for them. I actually like the idea of more updates but less content in each update, cause before we'd wait ages for content only for there to be major issues such what happened with the Archology and the caves and cliffs update. I also feel like mojang is limiting their own game because of how they go about adding stuff to the game, like they said they'll never add sideways slabs as it limits the creative side but that's totally wrong but they still go ahead and make a new set of logs and trees... also with so much stuff that has been added as mods mojang tries to add like minded stuff but with their own twist and sometimes it's not always good... For example a good mod additions were pistons and hordes but bad ones are item frames and bundles... item frames could have been so much better if you could make the frame invisible in vanilla without the use of commands/mods and bundles are a cheap version on backpacks, like they do not fix the issue of countless items and blocks being added but no real way to improve inventory storage.
I still don’t get why “limits creativity” is the reason they don’t add vertical stabs. Like I do agree that limitation breathes creativity but not adding a very basic building piece is not how to go about it. An example of limitations breathing creativity in the current game is being unable to place water in the Nether, because water solves a lot of problems for you in the Overworld that must find another solution for in the Nether.
Ideally mojang adds some useful drop for when you break creaking hearts without silk touch, like a pale resin or something. But i think the smaller updates are a good thing. If done correctly it could be a chance to overhaul some of the systems that are smaller, like enchanting, which in my opinion just needs a couple tweaks to fix. Also we were never going to get a big end overhaul update(sad but its been like 7 years since the last end change), so these smaller updates may be a chance to do an end update.
oh yaya mojang is going to be breaking mods a lot more often now. this is going to kill modding. Modding already struggles because so many great mods have been abandoned.
