CONCORD MALL- ELKHART INDIANA 

i grew up in this mall. I miss the massive water fountain in the pit in the middle. it has had a lot of updating from when i was a child.

I love this mall and the fact that they've left it old school.

I’ve visited this mall many times with my husband who grew up going there. I’ve always loved the 1970s vibes!

Malls like this were almost like monuments to the strong economy we had when I was growing up. Malls were like the height of consumerism. xD It's fun to reminisce about the way it felt back then, never could have foreseen all the malls fade into history, as the internet took over.

Too bad we can't post pictures here, I have some neat photos of the mall from the 1970s in it's prime. The 70s and 80s was Concord Mall's prime, we often left the mall because it was just too hot and stuffy because it was so crowded. This mall rapidly declined in the 1990s due in large part to horrible management. It'll be interesting to see how the new owners repurpose this mall.

Shopping has moved down the street closer to Goshen.

My family's department store (Drake's) opened our second store there when the mall was new. I was just out of college and was very involved in getting the store fully stocked and then managing the Men's Department.

Meis - 7:36 pronounced mees; I was sad to see the fountain was gone, my little brother ran away from my mom at McCrory’s to see the fountain.

I was born and raised in Elkhart Indiana I've been in that Mom million times what they need to do is bring the pound back and lowered that lease or rent were stories can afford to go in there and staying there I think that's what happened to that mall if they just kept raising raising raising and the storeowners cutting up order anymore so they want to bring it back to lie they need to make some changes and lower the rent and mainly bring that water fountain back that used to be there a real not start when they took that out

Looks like the perfect place to film the next dawn of the dead movie.

I went to Indy for the first time back in June, I need to go here next time I go

The only store that does good business there is Enzos pizza. Amazing food. I work at Concord high school and I eat at that pizza shop at least once a week. Ps, that JC Penney is closing for good. They are having closing sales right now.

The mall is completely closed now.
