The Wright bros. maiden voyage at the beginning of the 20th was a milestone moment in modern human civilization. Then fast fwd mankind reached the moon and also supersonic flight made possible here on earth with still about 3 decades left in the century. What amazing progress.
The escalators at Cdg looked like that in ‘76? Wow. However I think ppl back then hyped up too much about the next century. We’re here now in the 21st and even though today’s planes have amazing long-range still feels like a regression from the Concorde.
