Concrete Canoes and Civil Engineering 

All aboard the UVU Gherkin!
UVU Civil Engineering Professor and Program Coordinator Amanda Bordelon and her students used civil engineering knowledge to construct and race a vessel for the American Society of Civil Engineering’s annual “Concrete Canoe” Competition.
UVU graduates are able to enter the workforce with relevant, engaged learning experiences under their belts thanks to the university’s focus on providing students with hands-on learning opportunities.
