Aluminum is cheaper and lighter but have higher resistance so they get a lot hotter than copper and that's why some folks hate them, The house is looking great Mike keep the videos coming.
I know aluminum service wires are okay as long as you use an anti-corrosion paste (ALOX??) at the mechanical connections out where we live. After that everything has to be copper.
Actually the resistance is how you are billed and will cost you more beyond the meter so if you put the meter at the house it wouldn't matter. It is a choice you can make if you are paying to put the meter in.
