We finally get to pour concrete for the Demolition Ranch Headquarters Build! We decided to add fiber to the concrete and also concrete dye. We will later clear coat the concrete and end up with a very nice finish on the concrete. Enjoy.

Ive been working with concrete for 30yrs,Ive built bunkers and shipyards and powerstations,I used to check RC works for insurance companies when building bank vaults and top secret places and this is the only man on RU-vid who has an idea about doing it correctly.Little things like the open pipe(yes I spotted it in 2 seconds,its what I do/did) there are some things wouldnt pass on some jobs but this is a simple slab and it doesnt matter. Listen to him he teaches things all the time.

Yup, Had a short Hispanic man deliver my washer and dryer and he carried both on his back off the truck and up to my 2nd floor washroom, he wasn't built but just stocky and his partner said he did that all day long....

@@jasonengland2357 I was an elevator door installer. When we would get a delivery, it was usually 100-200 a day. Mostly because of construction debris, we would have to hand-carry them. The only practical way is to put them on your back. I did thousands of them like that. The stainless lobby doors are the worst. 350-400 lbs each.

@@Juan-dl3qs They is a difference sir. Typically when someone goes to the gym or works out at home, they usually limit themselves and target certain muscle groups. When you're doing this type of physical work every day for a living, you tend to work out muscles don't get used very often even if you do visit the gym. That's where the term corn fed comes from. People that do physical work for a living are stronger than many people think. I believe that's what he is trying to say.

I love colored concrete and the fiber re-enforcement. The only other thing for concrete effect is stamped concrete. So many patterns and add in the color and the possibilities are endless.

Hi , Thank again for sharing. Always learning from Erick. Thank you. I remember my Dad (RIP) pouring concrete for the driveway at the house we moved into back in 1971. I remember my dad teaching me how to mix concrete. I also helped my brother do a another drive concrete job. To much concrete ordered so we had to grab about 10 empty 5 gallon buckets and create smaller piles of concrete. School of hard knocks usually teaches us the life lessons that we should never forget. Like others commented very nice to see Professional crew working the concrete.

I'd say you only need a little over 9.5 cu yards. That's using my HIGHLAND LAKES READY MIX CO, INC concrete slide rule that my DAD used to use back in the 70's and 80's. GOD rest his soul.

I once had a boss who couldn’t figure cubic yards so he’d use the little slide rule the RediMix company gave him. For example, if we were doing a sidewalk, he’d say, “It’s 3 1/2 inches thick, so we’ll call it six, it’s 3 feet wide, so we’ll call it 4, and it’s 40 feet long, so we’ll call it 50.” Then, after every job, he’d ask, “How much mud did you have left?” We’d ALWAYS say, “About a wheelbarrow full.” But sometimes that was a heck of a wheelbarrow load!

After you do slabs long enough you can feel any variations or bumps with the boat float and smooth them out the way you do it is fine and works good so liking it👍

My company just bought a Makita pencil vibrator with the 4' stick. Love it. We had one of the old style vibrators that weighs 60lbs with a 10' stick. Definitely recommend the new battery operated Makita. It doesn't have the power that the old one did, but it works well for what we do.
