Concrete Slab Walkway for Beginners 

Got my coffee, donuts, eggs and sausage, and another Odell concrete video to enjoy for breakfast. Turned out great, very clean.

Clean finish as always Man U guys do great work, I’m a union finisher I came from residential and still miss it but u learn a lot when u pour 300-1600 yards in a day really makes u better and able to do smaller jobs by yourself bc ur so use to doing massive pours but always loved the pride that goes into residential when ur commercial it’s more about quantity than quality

This is exactly the project I want to complete this summer. I live in Westfield Indiana. Two things are holding me back from starting this project: I don't know what permits are required in my county and I don't know how or where to dispose of the dirt I remove. I don't have any other place on my property to put the dirt. Additionally in the past I have tried to offer piles of dirt for free at the curb and very few people would come to take it.

always clean honest narration, with a little humor thrown in. i can watch and listen to these videos more than i listen to my wife. i came across a channel where the guy claimed he was the best in the west, not sure who the guy was but he threw jabs at other contractors every chance he got. didn't watch half of it and clicked off.

I was going to ask, how do you make sure the ground is level? Then I saw the string and 2x4. So glad I saw this because... I was going to use a level and 2 large stepping stones lol I heard something about a concrete burn? How does that happen to your feet?

As a block mason seeing him use that level as a straight edge makes me cringe. Good work

One detail that could have set the small job even better would to have matched the joints on the new concrete with the old one on the side. The problem is the inner corner didn't line up, but the job looked amazing regardless.

what do you do for dirt removal on the hand dig and wheelbarrow jobs?

Do you still use oil from your truck for the forms? And how many yards for in the trailer thing

I'm a homeowner in Wisconsin, I'm surprised that you poured on dirt and didn't use any gravel packed down

Have 2 question , First question is you said you doing 6 inches deep but you use in a 2 x 4 sides . Second question is we do not need a sub base under the concrete

In case I want to lay tiles on concrete any advise on how to deal with the joints ? Is it ok to tile over it ? Will they crack ? Trying to pour concrete little by little in my backyard before I tile I been told that it’s necessary in Florida before tiling . Any help ? Or advise I appreciate it
