Fantastic! I’m a contractor in LA and do a lot of concrete and flat work. I fell down a rabbit hole and found your vids and am glad I did! I’ve been doing concrete for years but still get good ideas and have even learned a bit from you. Keep up the great work and keep these coming - great stuff!
Somewhat new to RU-vid. Don’t work in the concrete trade but am a tradesman myself. Enjoy watching your videos and learning. Great job. Toronto, Canada
Respect! You make it look easy and I know that it isn't... only years of experience and hard work can account for that. I enjoy watching your videos... thanks for sharing them.
Bro love the work u guys do !!!! Really enjoy ur video’s. We’re from San Antonio Texas. Keep showing ur awesome video’s n of course the badass work u guys do!!!!!
West coast Concrete - another awesome video! You should get an operation in middle TN. A freedom loving state, great growth and hard workers. You also don't have to pay income tax to the state. You can keep your money in TN.
Hi Anthony.great work……..do you have a video or photos on how this house looks after all said and done ? Your company did a ton of work--stairs, retaining walls and back patio. Thanks
Love you vids man. What's a good mix and slump for curb and stair facing? Been having to work really hard to try and make the face look decent. Not a lot of cream.
@@jeromeduffy9270 at 6:34 there's a good shot of the area not poured and I'm sure there's probably a good reason why the owner either could not pour against the house or they chose not to. I'm always a fan of low maintenance, perhaps they were thinking about landscape in this area.
@@popprider4224 The original question wasn't mine. I saw the area of dirt/landscape. I don't know why you would just fill it ti fill it. Opportunity to put any number of vegetation alone the steps. My question was WHY would you fill it
I would agree with Erik Law. That is a lot of work for stairs. But you really make a nice job. Good workmanship is hard to come by now days. Toronto Can.
gordon loessl i was crazy enough to take apart a 200 year old log cabin in West Virginia, and rebuild to code in upstate NY a few years ago... I know good madness
What is the ballpark cost of something like this. I'm looking for a concrete contractor and don't want to have a heart attack when I hear the quote. I have the exact same situation in Los Angeles, but with much easier access. There are existing stairs that need to be removed. Thanks.
Probably a ton, It is a lot of concrete they had to use for those stairs. Probably between 18k-21k maybe. One of the reasons when I inform my family on properties to buy. I always tell them to make sure the lot is flat and not in any type of flood zone, or not in any type of special district or special management zoned areas. Probably greatly reduces the potential cost of construction, and maintenance longevity wise.
I break each individual stair into a rectangle and calculate the volume of each rectangle. To determine the volume I multiply the length x width x depth. I hope this is helpful.
West Coast Custom Concrete yes this is helping out tons! So basically I’ve got 7 stairs with a length of 24” x width of 3.5’ x depth of 6”? Which come out to 11yrds ?
West Coast Custom Concrete I’m not trying to take up to much of your time, I really do appreciate it a lot man! So you came up with a yard and somehow I came up with 1.5yrd. that’s just for one step basically, if I added the 1.5 to seven steps it come out to be 10.5yrds close to 11. maybe I am doing the math wrong but I was kinda hoping you could correct me, i also just might have to take new measurements if these don’t work.
I enjoy your videos, and have fun memories of when I worked in construction, but damn you are conceited. Lmao Nothing wrong with that though, you have a right to be conceited and brag, because it appears like you all do really good work.
You do good work bud but you tell yourself over and over again how good you do. Just let the video play and the people will tell you if your work is good.
