Subbed! One question, say you have formatting applied on the second sheet like fill colors. Is there a way to match the formatting from the second sheet into the first? For example, if Rant Kant was filled yellow and Elzar Mann was filled green and I wanted that to apply to the first page as well?
This was SUPER helpful, thank you! Question now; what would you change in the formula to make a conditional format for the exact same ranges, same idea, but yield a different color if the formula is false?
This video was great. Is there a way to apply this across more than two sheets? Right now I have tried =MATCH(A1,INDIRECT("Sheet2! & Sheet3!A:A"),0) without any luck. Or do I just need to add a rule for each sheet I'm attempting to match with? Thank you.
Sheet2!Sheet3!A:A is clearly not a valid range. What exactly do you want? Formatting if A1 is matched on BOTH Sheet2 and Sheet3, or if it's matched on EITHER?
@@SpencerFarris if it’s matched on any. I have around 14 tabs and I’m looking to see if a name appears on multiple tabs. I feel that this is more a database solution that I’m trying to make sheets work with.
@@SpencerFarris Ohh! I had my data entered in excel and I wanted to connect it with google can I atleast connect one way? i.e. I want my excel data to reflect in google sheet there are some videos on which uses macros but they dont explain the way you do and I have tried and test their code many times it doesnt work most of the times, if you come across a solution to sync excel with sheets that would be of much help.
Hi Spencer. First, let me say that you're practically a hero for the content that you make. I work with Google sheets every day, but I have zero experience with Aps script, and desperately need help creating an interactive (and somewhat complex) to-do list. Is there any chance we could chat via email or phone? I'm sure your time is very valuable so please let me know what works for you.
