Hey Mark thank you for the informative videos, a few years ago I had considered Thailand to retire but the finances were not available, April of 2024 my retirement was handed to me and I have close to 4,000 a month to live on. I have decided on Hui Hin because it's more low key and I am not moving to country in order to date bar girls plus I don't drink. I will be 61 in September and by 62 I will be on the ground, not only have I been doing my homework but I will be taking Thai lessons well before I hit the country. I am a veteran and was a c.o. for 20 years so a country with very low confrontations , low crime with a cheap cost of living and nice folks is very appealing to me. I am looking to rent a 2/2 pool home in Hua Hin and the rental prices are so amazingly good so it's for me, my only stress is that my pup makes the flight ok. I am very lucky because my health issues are minor and I have the idea of getting into really good shape once I arrive, I don't use sugar, salt, or soft drinks, alcohol or ciggarettes. I tried marijuana once but never inhaled! I follow several of you guys and the advice is spot on, basically don't move to Thailand and be that guy. I dealt with deception for many years at work every day so despite a language barrier I will be ok, I want to travel and see wildlife and maybe catch a cobra or two,lol. Thanks again and I will continue to follow you for sure.
