I deal with these H-V-M at work and they have the triple Rs: Rolex, Ray Bans, & Range Rover (white Vogue). They always seem under a lot of pressure, work crazy hours, and the spare time they have is spent displaying their material wealth. Then they need to work more to pay for these bouts of wealth display. The limit of enough never seems to be met.

So true. Men seem to equate financially stable with high quality. Women equate it with men behaving well e.g not womaniser not an alcoholic not a woman basher and all round Ahole and a man who damn well LISTENS and GETS what we are talking about 😅

Usually someone who takes money doesn’t give back and that was me for a long long time until I ended up with someone who was awful to me. Now that I’m trying to live my best life me and my ex are friend we lay next to each other, laugh together, have boundaries. We’ve both come a long long way. My ex of 4 months did and he ended up being a narcissistic sociopath. After that I’ve been single and happy. @Jesse Graves exactly .. most cars are liabilities but not all cars because some of the classics go up in value or don't really lose value.. while most homes are assets depending if the home makes you money as a rental unit it is an asset making you more money than the debt owed.. even if the home is your primary residence and not a rental it still may be an asset if it rises in value like you said but sometimes it can still be considered a liability because you're paying the home loan and it's not creating you any cashflow like a rental would.. I'm in both fields of business - independent auto sales and residential real estate

Seperated 2005, but stayed til 2009. Moved, waited a year and got involved in 2010 with 3 women for the next 3yrs. Stuck with only 1 of them til 2019. Reconnected with her in 2022. Moved 600mi away from home to be with "her" by invitation. Stayed with her 1mo and almost wanted to kill myself for being an idiot for the 2nd time. I make a total of $38K combined with my pension. You're not at all understanding the term then. It's not meant as a term of someone's inherent worth as a person. It's meant as the obvious hierarchical ranking of you're place on the dating market. I don't have very high value on that market, because I'm sick and unhealthy and not very many woman want to be around me. It's possible for me to improve my value, and to make it even worse then it already is. Most people have the ability to move up and down. But I'm also never going to be Brad Pitt. My value on the dating market is lower than other people's, objectively. And higher than others at times in my life as well. I agree that when those social media platforms got popular it started to get difficult but I think dating for average dudes got really difficult when Tinder and those dating apps got popular. All of the sudden most women only wanted the top 10% of dudes in terms of looks, status , wealth, etc..

This is how my ex is but he has a job. We both have our struggles. He gets anxiety a lot. Dealt with this for 5 years. This is why we are only friends. He’s trying to sober up at least just sucks because he’s never present in life but I can’t blame him I’m rarely present either. In all honestly sobriety can really suck. I’m more of a binge drinker/edible person. Just got sick of feeling stuck in life moving no where.

Kevin Samuels is a shallow character, that's why he speaks about "high value man" in a very superficial way and that's why he has so many followers. All his explanation about HVM is about showing up, demostrating to people, mainly women what one has (material things). He considers that a man is high value if he receives validation from society because of his huge house, his fancy car, his expensive clothes, how many followers he has in social media, what kind of people he is seen with, how many women want to be with him. I also consider that his show is created to a certain kind of people, mostly dumb people who likes fast food entertainment. I wholly disagree with him. I can't stand him. His message is very dumb and shallow

I live in a tech area that is filled with nerdy guys that make 100K and I don't see women running up to them on the streets or sending choosing signals to them left and right. That’s what me and my ex did the other day. We took the bus to downtown Disney and just hung out. I showed him where I was going to work and we checked out all the new things in Downtown Disney. Before that we went to Knotts and hung out for about three hours. We were so tired that day. Lol! We rarely spent any money that day though. It’s amazing how the people staying at the hotel can drop $800 to $1,000 and then $13 to $30 on a glass of alcohol. It’s crazy. So yes it’s the simple things in life. We were both happy that day.

This is the flip side of the coin and goes to show we can't always have it all. You lock down the man with the fat stash, but end up with an emotionally unavailable house mate who expects you to meet all his needs because he's "earned it" and then gives you crumbs because to him you're more like a possession or asset he invested in.
