The union busters are probably thinking that all of their dreams have come true with the way the industry has been damaged due to the corona pandemic and being able to use it to smash salaries and terms and conditions.
Really great explanation here! Very eye opening - Watching this video and generating a report was an assignment in my Airline Labor relations class right before I graduated.
I read the book twice thinking about a third time. I've been on both sides, both good and bad. This book is written so well that it could have been a fictional story. But of course was pure realism.
Charter/Spectrum is currently trying to bust IBEW Local#3 in NYC. The members of this local have been on strike from March 27th 2017 it's a damn shame. We need your support, stop union busting at all costs. Union jobs are good jobs people what is the real issue here?.... You do the math.
Unions negotiate on behalf of workers with a combined leverage greater than that of the individual, presenting historically the only true response to power. So the first half of your point might be alright, but the second part conflicts with it. Unless you've bottomed the kool aid and bought the Amazon view on unions.
@@pappapaps nope. My comment is based on real-world experience of the devastation unions wreak on companies and employees alike. Unions should be prosecuted as the criminal conspiracies they obviously and technically are.
@@pappapaps unions create unemployment and artificial barriers to entry for younger employees as well as artificially distorting the cost of labor at the expense the company. Unions only exist to serve themselves and their officers. Unions inhibit leadership flexibility and stymie the professional growth of members. In fact, in one Union shop about five miles from my home, the top Union job that you needed 20 yrs seniority to bid was Janitor. That was the peak job. The Union distorted the whole job hierarchy to the point that the most senior employees aspired to jobs of least stress. Unions are a relic of the past and a criminal conspiracy.
Obviously, because he had a lot more resources when he was a buster. Does an officer under palpatine have more resources than one under the rebellion? Of course.
Of course because of the people he is dealing with. With unions he is dealing with common people who just want the best for their families and will work for that. When he was against unions he was dealing with some of the most contemptible, despicable people in existence, managers. People who like he said want nothing more than control, complete control over their workers lives. These managers will stop at nothing to get their way where as most workers are to honest to stoop to the level of managers to win
@@gabrielgarza3079 So the fact someone doesn't agree with you concerning the union, you resort to this. Everyone needs to do what's best for them, whatever that may be.
@@gdobie1west988 I'm sorry. I'm sorry you don't comprehend the principal behind collective bargaining, mandatory subjects of negotiation, or just making enough to feed your family. Look at the facts. Profits are up, and the middle-class are now the poor.
@@gabrielgarza3079 I understand perfectly, I was under a union for 10 years and they didn't do jack shit for us. I don't buy into the myth that every company should be union, but I will say there may be some companies that would benefit, depends on the circumstances of each company involved. In the mean time, I work for a company that is non union and I make enough "to feed my family" and to live comfortably. Save your preaching for others that care, I'm just a few years away from retirement. Good luck to all, union or non union.
