If it becomes legal in sg, they could limit the nicotine content to 10 or 20mg/ml. Most disposables and pre-filled pod vapes sold in sg and Malaysia only comes in 30 or 50mg/ml which is an extremely high nicotine level that most people shouldn't be using unless you are a very heavy smoker. The high nicotine content actually makes the cravings and withdrawals much worst than using a lower strength vape such as the 3 or 6mg/ml. In the UK and Europe, the highest strength available is only 20mg/ml which is already quite a high dose.
The reason why vape appeals to the young is because of all the different sweet flavours/smell. Tobacco is bitter and hence there was lesser underage smokers compared to underage vapers. Not to mention how easy it is to get vapes via telegram and the cost compared to cigarettes. If Singapore legalize vape to help existing smokers transit to a better(?) alternative, they can just choose to sell cold / hot flavourless vapes. Don't really see the point in arguing about which is worse because as long as something else other than air is being inhaled, it is already bad. The govt have to admit that tax from cigarettes is the main factor why vapes are banned and cigarettes are not instead of saying shit like "oh we dont know what is inside those vapes etc".
