She is so dang cute!! Also I love seeing Lisa do makeup on REAL people- with real aging skin, real redness, real creases, it’s so refreshing! I’m tired of watching people apply cakes of foundation onto smooth, unrealistic, Botox faces. I mean do you, but I can’t learn anything about how to do my own makeup that way most people don’t have perfect faces. Lisa always keeps it real. ❤️

She was the housekeeper in the Scarlett Johansen movie "Girl with a Pearl Earring ". I think her character's name was Tanika. Loved that movie and she was great it in! It's a wonderful film about the Dutch painter Vermeer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a movie for a cozy night in.

This was a delight to watch. The conversation had me feeling like I did backstage listening to famous actors talk about their lives in theatre. What a joy that was! Decades ago, I performed on stage. In those days, the older actors put a dot of red lipstick at the inner corners of their eyes. I think it was a holdover from when footlights were used like in vaudeville (if I’m remembering what I was told). I never did it, because I could never see that it added anything. I mean, I’d be in the house during dress, and I couldn’t see that it added anything to their appearance. But the split, thick black liner at the outer corners with clown white between the lines definitely helped eyes look more visible and bigger. Back to the dots near the tear ducts…I don’t remember when it was that stage actors changed to white dots. I do, however, remember the first dress when I tried it. The note I received was that I needed to fix my makeup because I looked crosseyed. In a 4,000 seat house, a dot made that much difference. That’s when I learned the power of makeup. Thank you for letting me share in that world again for a few minutes.

I love Joanna- particularly in The Thick of It and Getting On- she's a comedy genius. Also, why is it always the people who do nothing with their skin that have amazing skin! I coat myself in acids and serums and look like an ogre haha. Gorgeous makeup Lisa, it looks effortless and glam at the same time.

I helped friends and family get their skin under control and almost all were using acids before lol. It’s best to cut it all out stick to a moisturizer then slowly add in one serum if you want. Keeping yourself moisturized will be the best thing you can do 💕:)

Wow Joanna has such incredible skin, can’t believe she’s 60 thought she was 40s like me! I love the way you were so kind and encouraging, as you always are, and it empowers us as viewers too. Really interesting to hear from Joanna what it’s like from the POV of an actress on the red carpet. How utterly terrifying. And if the blokes turn up with their shoes on the right feet they are lauded, while women still get picked apart by hateful publications. Joanna you are stunning, before and after. I used to be overly conscious of the oiliness of my skin and the “baby fat” in my cheeks, but they really seem to be the keys to sustained youthfulness. I love seeing the B&A shots at the end, because you really see that everyone ends up looking like a beautifully enhanced version of themselves just as Lisa said. It’s not sorcery, it’s artistry ❤️

She is a famous actress, writes scripts too ... and looks great with blond hair as well, not to mention great skin!! Well, if you don't know if your eyelids are oily or not, then they are not. Love the chat so much and how she compliments Lisa's artistry throughout. That's it I'm going out to buy Olive Oil. She mentions it too. LISA, I had a 93 year old neighbour lady and the first thing she mentioned for a well moisturized skin is OILVE OIL. I remember when I had a warm bath + a few drops of Oilve Oil for my HANDS for a few minutes once a week. My hands were the softest. True story! LISA, will you make a video about *The Most Hydrating products* please? .. and explain the difference between oil and water deprivation of the skin too. What the difference is and how we can spot it. Will you mention a few with olive oil in as well if you can. Are you a fan of olive oil in general for skin? I think the best results one has with it, if you warm it up or simply put it in hot water [perhaps before shower too and let it steam]. Amazing results.. ♡♡♡ xx..

Hi Lisa I don't know if you would see this but I have seriously dark circles and pigmentation with fairly decent skin everywhere else and I struggle with balancing out correcting and concealing my eyes and keeping everything else natural. Could anyone in the comments help me with that? I need that heavy concealing under my eyes and I like natural makeup but I look ashy if I dont conceal my eyes heavily. Orange corrector looks orange with a light concealer. Help!

I really enjoyed watching your makeup session with Joanna! It was so interesting to hear her insights and thoughts on the different aspects of makeup application and how they've evolved over the years. Her honesty was so refreshing. I felt like I could've listened to you two for hours! The final makeup look was also beautiful. I loved how simple but also so beautifully applied it was to really complement her wonderful face ❤

Oh i am so late to this party but I was just browsing your videos and didn't immediately recognize her from the preview. As soon as she came on screen, i knew exactly who she was! Such an amazing actress, even in the more comedic role that i remember her from. Yes, i haven't checked into this year's BAFTA's. After love is now on top of my list to watch, i really want to see her in a drama. And this video just made me love her personality!

I was shocked when she said she was 60, I thought she was in her 40's. Either she's blessed genetically or done a great job protecting her skin from the sun. The makeup looked fabulous, really made her blue eyes pop.

As a woman turning 62 on March 21, this was wonderful to watch. Joanna is a gorgeous woman "of a certain age" and I really enjoyed ya'lls conversation. She looks amazing without makeup but just more "put together" with the makeup. Loved it!
