My mom's about to do that too. All her life shows had colored hair and shoes going to be in for a shock. Medical bills take up a lot of her money. My mom is 76 now. Dark hair going away

Hi Lisa, I enjoyed this! I started using Secret Camouflage SC2 over 25 years ago. My Mac 217 is 25 years old. I have a lovely neutral Chanel single eye shadow, bought 25 years ago, still used most days. I suppose it’s my makeup silver anniversary. 😂

I live in South Africa and discovered you ten years ago when other 22 year olds were wearing our newly discovered drag makeup techniques caked on in daylight which looked good in photos. I started watching you when I was 19 at university. I had terrible skin back then and your pinpoint concealing technique and general skincare and makeup advice truly changed my life! I'm now 32 and still use all these techniques. I think you were really the starting point for me understanding my skin type and learning make up, and had a huge affect on my confidence as a young woman. That was such a treat! I love how affectionate you are towards your younger self, especially all the "she's right!" comments. I wonder what your younger self would have thought of all the incredible products you've created for your own make up line. Also, 'brow hysteria' is such a great way to describe the current obsession with eyebrows. I hope that you're right (you usually are) about people starting to chill out a bit about their brows. I can imagine young people clutching their metaphorical pearls in horror at the thought of leaving it at a quick brush through and maybe a little powder (if there's time), rather than a 20 minute three-step intensive brow routine 😅

This was one of the videos that sold me completely on you, Lisa! You were the first makeup artist that actually talked about the skin and not just about full coverage foundations and elaborate makeup looks that I never felt comfortable in. Not only were u the first in so many makeup/skincare trends, but for me, u were also the original ASMR. I used to listen to ur vids in the evenings close to bedtime to learn but also relax & de-stress. Ur voice and pace are so soothing & regulating. This is so nostalgic to watch! Your videos were among the first ones I started watching on youtube, back then I only watched makeup videos. Now, more than ten years later in my mid 30s, your techniques are the ones I religiously stand by and use every day (pin point concealing!) as I think they make me look my best. I didn't see that one when it was new but I have seen it before. Seeing that you have barely aged and that even your hands have not aged and that you have kept the same skin care philosophy for all that time can only mean that you know what you are talking about. Good skin care makes a huge difference. I have better looking skin now at 60 than I've had ever in my lifetime thanks to RU-vid and people like you giving good advice and following it themselves. You're right about being able to teach on this platform. Thanks for what you have given us.

I'm 44. High school (mid 90's) -> about 5 years ago makeup, to me, was foundation and mascara. Maybe eyeliner, blush, and transition shade eyeshadow if I was being fancy. Five years ago I started watching youtube and am still amazed by how much products have improved and makeup education is available. I absolutely credit youtube for the dramatic increase in product quality.

I was so happy when my older sister sent me the link to your RU-vid channel about 12 years ago. I really wanted to learn how to do good make up and I never would have learned this much without you! ❤ I lost my mom when I was 13 and never had anyone to show how to do my make up. Oh, Lisa....Such a lovely walk down the memory lane (hope I got the expression right :))...Little did I know that it's been 13 years since I've decided that you are incredibly sweet, kind, talented, inspirational, soothing and knowledgeable with alluring passion for make up and make up history, so that you are the one to follow...I remember your chatty 'meeting the ex' tutorial I loved so much. Also the menopausal one and one with gorgeous senior model I used to try to replicate on all my female cousins 60+ (half of them still doesn't speak with me). Oh my goodness. I still remember this video from when I was just 18 in 2010 and I was just beginning my club phase. It saved me from looking haggard so many times and I still apply a lot of what you say today whether I’ve had a long night out or in. The nostalgia of it all
