Hey this is my first time doing this stuff for my Xbox and im trying to change something on router its asking to change my configuration, my console only supports wpa2 wpa3 and wep but I have no idea to do that lol. If someone does know please let me know 🙏🙏
I don't like the idea of having MAC address filtering ONLY for Wi-Fi connections. Somebody could come in while I'm gone and connect with CAT5 cable to my router and get on my network.
I have the 5 gig connection. I just bought a Cisco biz switch with 4 10 gig ports. I also have the Orbi 6e mesh. You think the mesh would work if I went directly from the modem in ip pass though to the switch to the mesh?
@@AliMKRaja thank you for the reply good sir just subscribed. So basically I can backhaul from the att modem->Cisco switch-> 3 separate Ethernet cable from switch to Orbi and 2 satellites? And it should work?
Any tips on getting the BGW320 to connect to the Cisco Anyconnect VPN? I was advised to disable IVP6 & we tried Passthrough as well but nothing worked.
Having difficulty with my Asus router and BGW-320. My Asus indicates conflict and that both assign ip addresses. Should I turn off the DHCP on the BGW-320 to allow the ASUS to provide ip addresses? I prefer allowing the ASUS to provide IP Addresses. If so, can you indicate the steps to do this?
I'd really love to help but I do not have the BGW-320 anymore. I've switched to Verizon FIOS due to the new area that I moved to. Let me know how it goes!
Here is what the Owners Manual state under 'Connection' -'ONT - One ONT connection is supported through an RJ-45 cable. The ONT connection provides Ethernet access to home, Internet access, and POTS services.. I copied that directly
Do you have instructions as to how to configure the att bgw320 to just pass through the to install a personal router, where I can install a VPN. Please help me out if possible
Without getting too complicated. I'd recommend changing all your passwords to begin with. Next, I'd make sure to enable the Firewall if its already not. Thirdly, install a good antivirus on your laptop.
We have a problem. We have a stream box. Worked great when they hooked up the fiber for a few weeks. Now will not connect with wifi or ethernet only on that streaming box. Everything else connects fine. I tried our mobile Hotspot and it will connect to streaming box fine. Called att and they don't have any answers. It's almost like they are blocking us on that steam box. Any suggestions?
@@AliMKRaja att are always very insistent that you cannot use your own equipment but people always find ways. They made it harder for me with this bgw320 now that the ont is built in.
@@AliMKRaja okay. Is there any other solution? I most definitely do not want WPS enabled on my bgw-320 for security reasons. Do I just have to find another mesh system?
Wait! I actually got them to work by pairing them via ethernet cable. I just couldnt unplug and re-plug so i had to use a very long ethernet cable to reach to where i placed the airties box.
Mr. Ali, thank you for all your help. One follow up question. If I have the DHCP enabled on my own router, is it necessary for me to manually change the local IP address so it does not compete with the BGW 320-505?
@@AliMKRaja Mr. Ali- I had AT&T Fiber installed this weekend and your instructions worked flawlessly! Thank you for all you help. I truly appreciate it!
I quit using a mesh networking as it was causing allot of drops. I used to have Orbi Netgear AC3000 and Asus Ax86u. Both performed the same way with AT&T bgw-320 as passthrough
I’ve moved my service over from AT&T to Verizon Fiber using their 6E gateway without any mesh network. Seems to be fine so far as long as I’m hardware for traffic that requires priority.
Look, Ali, your video was fine and was well done for those who are beginners or those who simply can't read, but I clicked on your video for some advance option tip & tricks to confi my BGW320-500 for maximum speed, security, etc... Do you have a video for that? (eg) Like what to turn off what to turn on etc...
How do I use a different router like Orbi when I also have the att U-verse box for tv that needs to be connected to the att router/ modem to function ? I can I still set it into pass through mode and connect the U-verse box to the Orbi instead ?
