Keep them coming 👍😎 You can use it on another Rangie but only with limited functionality like reading and clearing codes. No CCF updates allowed unless VIN locked 👍

I did say it's VIN locked 😋 there is no point for someone buying this product if they have multiple Land Rovers that they want to configure. They would have to purchase the Pro one instead.

@@lifeasusual When you try to order, it asks for the VIN I haven't bought my L322 as yet, but I'm interested in buying an IID tool so I can test drive a potential car and scan the codes before I purchase it. It's a good price 👍

I like what you are saying. This is very smart. Ok, I have an idea; they have a contact number here bellautoservices.co.uk/contact-us/ You should get in touch and see if you can get one without a VIN. (That's why I said it is VIN locked in my video) Remember, they can delete fault code history before you go on a test drive. So something to keep in mind. No harm in trying though.

Thanks. Great video. I have to get myself one of these. I’ve looked into other options but there’s no comparison. Will you do a deeper dive with the CCF configs at some stage? One thing I’d love to be able to program is an extended valet mode. Use case: I want to give my daughter her own key so she can drive car around our fields but it’s speed limited to say 40kph. That would be amazing.

I just replaced my rims, tires and sensors. They synced up and everything was fine but now the TPMs won’t go off. My GAP won’t be here until Wednesday. I like everything working properly with my 09 sport.

Very interesting 👍🏻 I have just bought a L322 V8 Diesel and I have to say I’m a bit frightened! Mainly because I live in Italy and my Italian is poor and very few garages will know how to work on one. My son is driving my car to Italy from the UK and just told me it’s miss firing a bit 🤦‍♂️ My question is can you change language? Many thanks !

Thank you for the positive feedback! I looked in the Options settings, but I couldn't find an Italian language there. Hi Richie, welcome to our channel! 👋🏻 Because I don't have any experience with a 2006 model, I don't want to give you the wrong information, so it's best that we take a look at the manufacturer's website. We can go to this link: www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool/ to see what you can and cannot do for your own specific vehicle, under the "Functionality list" dropdown. And also, perhaps it's best that you contact the manufacturer directly via email, and enquire to see if it works. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this product as I am looking at the things that you can do with your 2006 and I can see a lot of things can be done to it. It can be used on other lr just not do calibration on suspension or ccf is only locked to the tool

Hi Jack, what do you mean exactly, as I'm not too sure? I don't have auto-tailgate, if that's what you mean? I don't think the L322 came with auto tailgate, you have to manually lift it.

can you use the IID tool to program a spare key? specifically in a 2016 RRS autobiography.

Hi John, welcome to our channel! 😁 I didn't try it on my 2016 RRS, but yes, you can do it on the L322, as I briefly mentioned in the video. Oh and as for egr has to be mapped out iid not do that and still need to blank of egr as well

Hi again, John! 😊 One would have to contact Bas Corporation Ltd (BAS Remaps). They will install a remap on the tool, and then using the GAP tool, one can toggle it on and off whenever needed. You can do that without blanking the EGR, as it is illegal to blank the EGR in the UK for road use. EGR delete is to be used for off-road only. For example, you can have EGR deleted while off-roading, then turn it back on again once you are back on the road again. I hope this was helpful to you. 😁

Can you use the iid tool to disable rear parking sensors when trailer connected?

Hi Kieran, welcome to our channel! 😁 I have looked at their website. The IIDTool will allow disabling the front sensors or disabling the whole system (front and rear sensors). @@lifeasusual thanks see you on range rover face book to, how much did you pay for your ?the ones i have seen is £400 thats a lot of money to invest, if i was doing all the spanner work myself its worth it, or if they was a few people start a range rover DIY club we could all chip in and buy one, or buy one and rent it out ? we could post it if people live to far away, few ideas of the top of my head, you know i payed for a full service from a range rover garage, well i had a poke around after fuel filter air filter pollen filter gearbox was never touched, so long story short they did the full serviced with me under the car watching, so now i trust no one, i kick myself for not going public with it,

There is a guy on Facebook who thinks I am a scammer and is making not-so-nice comments. Yeah, they are expensive, to be honest. I saw some 2nd hand ones on the Facebook market. Maybe try there? Unfortunately, because it's VIN locked, most of the features on this device are made to be paired with one car only. Plus, I use my device about once a month, sometimes twice, to check everything is OK. Also, to do videos on this channel. Well, I try my best to make as many Range Rover DIY videos here to help people because, just like yourself, I don't trust people working on my car anymore because they look at it as an old car that needs no attention. But for me, because it is old, then it needs more care than usual. So did they tell you that they have serviced your filter, but they have not? And is that at the LR dealer?

I bought recently the GAP IID tool and can't find all those modifications on it, My car is a L322 Td6 from 2002. Probably it hasn't all those features

Hi Antonio, welcome to our channel! 😁. Based on GAP diagnostic website, it should work on Range Rover L322 from the year 2002 to 2012. Have you VIN-locked your device with your L322? Because these features will only appear if you register your device, activate it with the code and update it.👍🏻

@@lifeasusual Hi, thank you for your reply. I realy bought the GAP IId tool. What a deception. In my car is just only a code reader. No CCf's no a lot of things. The only useful thing is to calibrate de suspension. GAP inform me that due to the BMW architecture tehre is no CCF's and it lost a lot functions
