Just want to say THANK YOU for going over this setup! Between this video and 2 others I was finally able to get my new Pavo 20 up. Unlike the new Pavo Pico I ordered first that never got in the air despite following every step.
appreciate the content. i've had mine configured b4 but then i tried to update the firmware then it got messed up. question. now its seems that my accro mode isn't really fully manual. i can literally let go of the sticks and it kinda hovers in place. it says it's in accro, in betafpv config it says ARM aux 2 (i want it on the other side). numbers are exactly as yours but when flying it's just does't feel fully manual. is there anything else i can check or do to get full manual? appreciate any feed back
Hello there im kinda new in this but, i had dji avata before and i bought a PAVO20 as u guess, so now i did the 90% of the work i binded all the devices and applied betafly settings. I watched lot of videos but didnt get the right answer yet. So the problem is when i try to arm the drone its closing and opening again. Its resetting itself. While it happening HD icon's bar is rising down slowly and right after that its closing. I gived 10 hours to make it work and i believe i deserved a little bit help. Even from now i thank you for your helpful messages.
Thanks for the comment. I put a lot of work into it and didn't expect it to get a lot of attention because it's a rather specific problem, but the fact you took the time to say something kind about it makes that work worth it. I appreciate it and you!
Your a legend man. Now at least I have my remote controller 2 inputs registering. I can`t tell you how long I have been scouring the internet for this. Thanks
You bet! I struggled the same way I’m sure you have been. I couldn’t do it alone, but that’s what is so great about the community - there’s always somebody willing and able to help! Good luck, happy flying!
Hello how are you ? I just got the pavo pico with the o3 air system. It was flying fine at first. Bust after few flights i got some warning message in the goggle. ( rcsmoothing, rxloss and baudx or something like that) Now the drone doesnt recognise the Rc anymore. I still have the image in the goggle. The rc is bind to the goggle but its not to the drone anymore. Any idea i could fix this up ? Its really annoying i just got it 2 days ago.. I have the impression that it might be the pin s-bus of the o3 who get a malfunction. Heeeeelp pleaase 😅
my pavo flips out, after doing everything correctly following the video....loved THE VIDEO, but do you know why it would? thank you SO MUCH BROTHER!!!!!!!
Check your motor direction in Betaflight. Toggle on and off (and test with each setting respectively) the "motor order reversed" toggle. If that does not solve the issue, restore it back to the position it is in during my video tutorial and try turning "low power mode" on in your goggles. I recently had an issue where my Pavo Pico was being told it was rolling to the right when I was giving no stick input, which made takeoff impossible because it would just flip over when I gave it any throttle. That said, if it still doesn't work, try going to this website and reflashing the firmware via the CLI to factory defaults. Then try the process over again: support.betafpv.com/hc/article_attachments/21131998083865
Good afternoon ! First of all, thank you very much for the tutorial, I have seen it about 10 times and I have carried it out step by step, and it still does not assemble the engines. What can be ? I have the turkey 20 with the DJI Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Controller 2
Genuinely asking...is "Turkey 20" a typo? Because if it is, do you mean you have the Pavo 20...and if it isn't, then where the hell can I get a drone called the "Turkey 20," because I absolutely will be getting one...
This may be a stupid question. When plugging the drone into the computer does the battery need to be connected as well? Its not recognizing the 03 unit as being on when i plug it in. all my connections seem tight just cant figure out why everything is on when plugged in usb but not the 03
It depends on what port you’re plugging into. If plugging into the O3 Air Unit directly, you do NOT need a battery to supply power. If plugging into the airframe, you DO need a battery to supply power to have access to certain features.
Hey, I just got my Pavo20 today and paired it to the Radiomaster Boxer (works Good). I added the O3 onto the drone and when the drone is powered on, the O3 won't have ony lights on it or be able to bind. Do you know of anything to do?
Double-check the cable is snuggly connected to the AIO FC/ESC onboard the drone. If it seems secure, try unplugging it and blowing the port on the drone out with canned air as well as the port inside the O3 Air Unit. Also, use the cable that comes with the drone, not the one that comes with the air unit. Idk why, but using the cable that comes with the air unit can cause issues with the drone. If none of that works, you may have a power supply issue with either the drone or the air unit and should consult the appropriate manufacturer.
VERY INTERESTING VIDEOS.., It looks as if you do not need to get into betaflight to mess around for synch. the DJI controller... And by the way... I heard the DJI Controller is not working with the PAVO 20 POCKET It looks like the POCKET version has sensors pointing down in order to create estability... I am buying the pavo 20 but I( am thinking about buying also the POCKET one bevause I normally use it for interiors. am I right bout the POCKET version? Well.... I wrote that at the beg. of your video, so I see I have to get into betaflight... But still my question about the POCKET is there... Could you help?
That's a great question -- I can't verify whether or not it works with the Defender 20 or not -- I had somebody ask a similar question about a GEPRC drone -- it might, but I cannot say for sure. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
Question: Will I still be able to easily connect my controller and goggles to my DJI Avata also if I want to use that instead, or does this limit me to only using my Pavo drone going forward?
Yes. The DJI Goggles 2 and FPV Controller 2 do not require rebinding when swapping between devices. All you have to do is select the correct device from that device menu where we selected the O3 Air Unit. Once the goggles are looking for the correct device, they will pair with devices they already know from the initial binding.
Awesome, last question. Does the O3 air unit adhere to the same software flight restrictions that the Avata and other drones are subject to? Aka no fly zone restrictions
When you’re using the air unit to pair the controller it requires you to bring the throttle to 0 in order to arm. You will not be able to use DJI peripherals to arm without bringing the throttle down as an arm redundancy.
Actually, I think with the Goggles 2 you just have to pair once and then the goggles pick up and connect to the devices they remember. I’ve never had to re-pair with a drone using the Goggles 2 that I can recall. You should be able to bounce in and out of different drones - same goes for the controller 2.
Thank you for the great explanation. Just one simple question; Can I record video without Googles. There is a sd card slot on O3. Can I use video record button on Dji Rc2 to recording? Thank you..
Not confirmed. You could try it and if it doesn’t work you could just re-flash the drone’s original firmware and start from square one. I imagine it might work because the GEPRC drones are formatted similarly to the BETAFPV drones.
Great question. Code can and should go in all at once. I don’t know that going section by section would hurt anything, but in all of the instruction I’ve been given and the other tutorials I see online for CLI in Betaflight, just dumping it all in there works just fine.
Interesting video. Thanks for publishing it. Thanks to you I was able to start using my npavo20 with the DJI googles 2 and the DJI controller Perhps I might get some help from you.... Just modifying things on betaflight I had to start from the scratch and I cannot configure the led strip to turn it off and on with my controller.... I obtained USER1 in Betaflight modes, the button I assigned on the controller works BUT led does not turn off and on.... I guess it is something to do with congiguragtion of the LED Strip on betaflight... but there is no way I helping hando would be highly appreciated TRhanks
@@TheDroneGeek Thanks... I'll be awaiting for your answer..... In betaflight, user1 gets on and off when I press AUX4, but leds remain on.... I also noticed that when I restarted everything the opyion LED Strip in Betaflight was empty, something that did not happen before...
@@TheDroneGeek hi again! I managed to go back though my paces and as a saved the previous CLI file configuration, I installed it and followed your indications from scratch.... everything seems to work, including the leds... Don't ask me why.... but when back to normal... the only thing, the OSD, that behaves in a funny way as the crosshair is not in the centre (it happened to you as well in your video) and also it does not show anything from the OSD. Many thanks for your video, again... If you have a clue how to get the OSD better, please, let us know
OH man, thanks to you and reditt guy, why does the official website get the uart port wront and dont give you all this information. Can I recommend they use your video officially?
You're an absolute lifesaver! I am facing one last issue though. Once the drone is armed, the throttle goes to 100% and i cannot bring it down unless i disarm it. I tried to do the same in BetaFlight motor test (without props) but for some reason the motors are going full throttle after arming. Any ideas?
None unfortunately. Maybe check your throttle settings in the receiver menu? My other suggestion would be to check out your modes tab to see if you have an AUX input that is incorrect. That may be a good one to take to Reddit. I’m sorry I’m not of more help.
When you have the drone on and connected to Betaflight, it will not arm. It's a safeguard that prevents unwanted arming and take-offs while you are configuring it. Unhook it from Betaflight and try to arm again.
It is still not working for me Im using nazgul ECO with rc2 and the revire tab in betaflight is still not working. Do you have any idea how to fix this?
