Orion glasses are looking amazing! Hope the field of view isn't as small as Hololen's. And use the option for a ring instead of a wrist strap. Also, use smart tinting glass.
Most impressive thing of the show was the latest Mark 4.104 update. Dude has become a impressively convincing humanoid. Thumbs up to whoever came up with the idea of exchanging that evil android hairstyle with a more casual bird-nest look.
@@I-See-In-The-Dark I was thinking the same. Only time will tell how successful these products will become, but I would say the future looks promising.
Idk how these videos don't have millions of views already. This is the promised land of technology! I've been waiting attentively my whole childhood for this exact product! And now it's just here! We're at the crest of a new era! I can't stop using exclamations because I'm literally that stoked! I can't stand Facebook's instinctual need to sell personal data, but I gotta appreciate their efforts to get this tech here ASAP
FYI Quest 3s has less resolution and old fernel glasses (same as Quest 2). That's the main difference between them and the Quest 3. Keep in mind that pancake lenses are a GAME CHANGER and as of now 500 dollars for the 512gb version Quest 3 is a HUGE value. Think about your gifts better.
300$ is parents budget for their kids gift, that is the reason why it is 299, because that is just the critical threshold for them if they're gonna buy it or not
You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Lenses are completely different and so is the cpu and so is the panels. It's leaps and bounds better then the quest 2. Same lenses as the quest pro but a larger fov and no back lit dimming. The quest pro is the same processor as the quest 2. I own all 3 headsets.
@@darrelldarrell1447 the ones that tried it talk about fernel lenses having a small sweat spot same as Q2, I spoke about resolution and not power as the headset is yes powerful like a Q3 but it will have the same resolution as a Q2
@@youtubeuser3182 it is not. Look at his face. Sharp with obvious jaw line. And his shoulder is broad. Of course wider shirt gave better illussion of wide shoulder. He indeed is super fit now.
Don't buy the Quest 3S. The lenses are a severe downgrade compared to the standard Quest 3. If you want a smooth work flow you want the clarity of the Quest 3. The 3S is designed to be for gaming only, where image sharpness can take a hit
Not so sure about it. For workflow I can see it being handy for many things. For chilling and relaxing I found it way too overwhelming. I prefer watching TV. Another huge down side is that its very addictive to be inside these virtual worlds, like VRchat.
@@gcforreal Same here, and I love the fact that the headset itself has hardware, I can use to just browse the web, I don't need to be concerned if Dev's gonna create and support specific app for streaming like a Nintendo Switch for example (which only has RU-vid and Crunchyroll if I am not wrong).
100% agree! Once you try it there's no going back to flatland for gaming VR has been growing at an average of 45%/year since 2018 according to statista. Even with a way more conservative growth rate it in less than 3 years most families in the US will have some kind of VR device and in less than 7 years it will be the main source of gaming (except for mobile gaming)
@@NostalgicMem0riesreal why should developers have to optimize for more os then they signed up for both android, ios, macos, on top of the ipad os its just too much I agree
It’s a gimmick that makes you nauseous. It doesn’t replace my 65 inch TV on my phone which is far superior for watching movies that are dumb headset that makes you vomit.
Apple Vision Pro = "we have cool new tech for your face, that make you look goofy" $3,500 Meta Connect = "our new tech is less goofy and does almost 80% of the same functions" $300
I have used both. Not even close to being the same thing. AVP blows away Meta as far as quality. However, the price difference does not justify buying an AVP. Apple comes out with a cheaper version, Meta will lose unless they step up the quality.
@@Fableboxwe all know apple and cheap don't go together that's a fever dream so while it probably will get cheaper but not by that much and still be expensive 😂
It is crazy to think that VR is still relatively young. It existed before it got more focus, but it only really started getting developed with the release of the Oculus quest
@@TheEchoSharkMeta is fast tracking the tech with billions in R&D. People laugh at the quarterly "losses" but the truth is they can afford it and have a vision of a product they want to be first to market with. It's a treat for those of us that can appreciate the cutting edge tech.
Imagine a room full of nerds programming with these nerdy looking glasses, saying ohh hey simon have you seen the new pyton update, oh no jeamy ivgot the new firmware hehaahahah
my Latin is not that good but im pretty sure it says "Aut Zuck, Aut Nihil" which is play on the famous "Aut Caesar, aut nihil," which means "Either a Caesar or nothing". Zuck is known to be a huge fan of the Roman republic and empire. he's even named his children after famous Roman emperors like Augustus which he has a gigantic man-crush on (as everyone should).
I literally called this exact ar glass concept (though I called the "puck" the brick and instead of a wristband I imagined a ring or set of rings) close to a decade ago now. This is going to be what replaces the smart phone, watch! I guarantee it!
I love my Quest 3 for gaming and entertainment, but I can't commit to using it to help my workflow yet. Flat screen is just more comfortable for work sessions.
so I assume you don't have a phone, and you don't go outside or to any store, you live in complete isolation somewhere in the woods off grid.... ??? cause if not, you never had privacy in the modern age dude.. stop tripping it's no big deal.
As a native spanish speaker who knows english well I just want to point out the translation bit was atrocious. Though to be fair most things are pretty cool, so no biggie I guess. Knowing how well gpt and claude translate it's just a matter of time til Meta gets it right.
The AI live dubbing in Spanish to English and back is laughable. The translation was so bad and I’m surprised nobody in his team told Zuckerberg about it. Meta has so much money and they couldn’t find any Spanish linguists to work on it? 😅😂
Nothing he showed in this presentation was in anyway impressive. It's just a bunch of crap rolled out to try to keep the investors fooled and appeased.
when someone is straight forward and good at what she does best. People will always speak for them. For me I can would say give Mrs Olivia Duke of finance education a try and you be happy you did
I know that marketing probably loves the use of the term "Holographic Display" but is it really holographic? Isn't it just two flat images fed to each eye in a stereoscopic manner? Maybe Mark is incorrectly using the term hologram because the images have a translucent quality to them. Either way, I'd love to know the details.
Looks like 3 projectors on each arm to project and displace on to the glass, for the first time, someones actually using the word hologram correctly if anything.
It is actually holographic, because otherwise it’s passthrough video feed like the Quest. This is the next step for mixed reality technology and they’ve been working on this for a while. Have a look at their older Holocake concept
Ai can now do video call dubbing? HEX NAH, There's gonna be massive false reports and mockups in a VERY BAD WAY!!! I'm scared now! Overall, I do wanna get my hands on a new Meta Quest 3.
After unlimited money unlock, one must tackle legacy. Most to unlock unlimited money are sociopaths, some even psychopaths...and they defer to a negative legacy for some reason. It's rare that someone wants that legacy to be a positive one, especially before their death bed.
@@Techtalk2030 I made a character in my story who uses holographic lenses in his glasses as a way to target enemies back in 2005. I had talked about it 10 year later when I became a teacher and drew him with the glasses to show what it looks like. My students couldn't believe that glasses could fit a computer. ^_^
Mark needs to practice these presentations. The off the cuff stuff just sounds unprofessional. “It’s got a bunch of stuff” what is this a high school book report
Wow it finally looks like the meta hardware is going somewhere. The quest 3 line is absolutely amazing and the glasses are starting to look useful as well and the orion thing seems complete scifi but it seems amazing as well!
