If you buy today's gear through my affiliate links, you can turn yourself into a youtuber with more subs with AI. And How do you remove the "AI Generation" watermark on the footage? I can't find it in the settings, I can remove the "shot on" watermark of the timeshift, but AI Generation remains. Next step of evolution is adding optical zoom, so in a couple of years the metamorphosis path of action cameras transforming into camcorders will be complete. :D
Its just single frame processing the prompt, through a chosen style (which are other hidden prompt settings). So each frame conforms to the prompt, but each cycle is new output. Give it a couple of years and it will achieve consistency
15:46 "What did I do to deserve that?" As the Insta360 representative told you, you trashed their new product so they secretly sent you a unit especially modified to highlight your zits, create bad skin tone, and create green racoon areas around your eyeballs. You got ninja'd !
Yeah the AI thing could be great if it would just pick a theme and track everything with that theme, but that's the problem. It's taking the frames one by one and treating them as individual pictures rather than tracking objects in a motion picture which takes a lot of compute power. Soooo it's a neat idea on paper, maybe not so much in practice. In other words, it's a gimmick feature rather than a usable function. I still think they are moving in the right direction though and I'm looking forward the updates and new versions on the horizon. Once they pack a 1" into this bitch, I'm gonna take it real seriously! Cheers 🍻
The AI warp on the Ace Pro is way too dizzying and sporadic for me. They need to make it where the scene isn't constantly changing every millisecond. Simply put... the AI has a loooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go. Because right now, it just looks stupid.
Big props to Insta360 for the risky financial investment of shipping an action cam with a 5nm processing chip! It mean more computational capabilities along with reduced heat and decent battery life. No one else is doing this in this price range. That extra processing power is what allows the noise reduction in low-light conditions, along with other features. It also means that significant firmware enhancements with new features will be technically possible if they choose to do that. This is a big challenge to other action-cam companies so let's see how they respond. We consumers will all benefit from this healthy competition.
@@cameraconspiracies but that was my point regarding future features via firmware updates. It is possible so let's see if they do it. I would consider paying a subscription for that kind of enhancement if they commit to it. What do you think?
@@cameraconspiracies Do you think you can complain about Sony’s lack of firmware support without somehow making it worth their while? Of all people, you have made it clear that all these companies continue to compromise and cripple their products so they don’t compete and cannibalize the sales of their other products. That is the main reason that they are selective with firmware updates. Subscriptions could change that. They could even offer cameras at a lower price, and remain competitive. You may want to reconsider this in the future.
Amazingly hilarious video, yet right at the start I knew of its origins. Don't ever let a company guilt you into feeling a certain way for telling the truth. The DJI Action stomps all over this AI driven piece of nonsense, and the whole picture just feels off. One of my biggest pet peeves is people who feel everything needs to be overly-positive, however false and misleading it is. The truth sets us free. It keeps camera companies improving. Insta360 Corporation: "Why were you so critical of our product? Do you need a hug? We gave you free gear!" ....GTFO. How about make a genuine product that isn't a one trick pony, with a completely useless trick and inverted color science. Never change, and always be your authentic self Mr. Conspiracy. That's why we love you.
Shouldn't the AI be able to focus on your face and blur out the background like a cellphone can? It's AI after all. All they have to do is teach it (program it...).
With that computing power, they should provide 10bit, as well as the option to turn HDR on/off. Furthermore I'd prefer that AI thing to morph into a single frame (with cross dissolve and a specified amount of time, which you could config) instead of that gimmicky ai frame overkill. With all those changes realised, I'm glad to buy another action camera. Nevertheless good job Insta. Like this post, if you see things the same way... Greetings from Switzerland. Roman, a long time viewer of your channel.
thx for the inspiring video's.... I'm not a vlogger en want to buy a camera for filming my family during our vacation adventures, sun, sea, nature, ski, walks in nature, city trips, .... What would you recommend now? I get crazy of all these compare video's ....
This Ai thing is a piece of shit... I think it is useless. Its maybe funny 1 or 2 times maximum. They can focust instead of the image quality, replacable lens, 10bit, sound quality, focusing, or ill be happy for example in a variable electronic ND filter in the camera itself, etc...
Honestly it looks pretty good. As long as you’re not self vlogging or doing any close ups. And that the colours are sometime terrible, but that’s expected from insta - i mean they can’t suddenly just switch from toy digital colours to realistic or pleasing colours. Probably the second or third iteration of this will be excellent.
You made me post this! AI does not have a family to take care of. It is not a small business trying to make it. And ,surprise, no feelings to hurt. So WHY would you say the positive and supportive crap about such a mucked up thing. It ain't no feature it's not even intelligent or creative. So now I'm having a hard time watching you. You've kill the joy of it in this house. I'm hoping to get it back but I'm not counting on it. ✌️
Man, I really enjoyed this channel's videos. Just so much funnier than the average reviewer and right or wrong, one of the few people who actually dissed the manufacturers (even if he often didn't get all the facts right). That said, between vaccine denial, weird politics and some casual transphobia I may have to stop watching now. Not that that means or impacts you but hey figured I'd write it down anyway.
I tune in strictly for entertainment purposes. Your videos are fantastic. I dig the whole completely dissatisfied vibe and the never-ending pursuit of perfection. I only wish you’d adopt a Mohawk/mullet hair situation. I’m here for the perfect entertaining RU-vid channel. You’re great. Not perfect but great. The upgrades I mentioned could put you over the top my friend. Do it!!! 👍
So it seems all the "AI" features are just software. Why bother upgrading a camera just for software. I'm sure someone will make an AI plugin for adobe premiere, or davinci.
Hey! When are you going to do another episode showing who you are following on RU-vid, and more importantly, who you quit following? It's been a while. Keep up the good work!
Yeah... I dunno man. I think you had it right the first time. It didn't come across as too harsh to me, it felt honest and I could see with my own eyes exactly what you were criticizing. The image wasn't good, and whatever this stuff is... well it ain't it.
its wild t owatch this footage as someone from toronto that has filmed these same streets with a gopro hero 5. The footage on tha was so bad I had lost all hope for it, so jittery, colourless and dark. Acepro looks like Action cams have finally come that far, isnt a copmplete waste of money in 2023/4
The AI stuff reminds me of dreams. Everything keeps changing all the time and typing words or numbers on your phone or something doesn't work because the letters and numbers keep changing. Drunk and pumped full of caffeine at the same time.
The squirrel killed me. Also, black squirrel, what the hell do they eat over there?! I've been silicone taping my 52mm diopters to it, but I asked Josh to fashion a 3D adapter, got that printed today, hopefully will work!
Playing around with this AI stuff is gonna screw up your mind one day. Subconsciously we are "recording" EVERY single milisecond of everything we look at throughout the day. At night, in sleep we are sorting all these things out. So if you'll be watching these kinds of AI generated content too often it's gonna overload your mind with too much stuff. You'll end up with a kind of burnout or even worse.
I think we already achieved that without AI. All the super hero movies for example, I find them to be quite an assault on the senses. I'm not very excited about AI. It devalues human expression. Is it neat? Sure, but I do have my reservations.
Completely agree that it can cause you issues if you use it too much. I get why it can be fun in some ways, and I don't see an issue with messing around with it a bit, but I think it's a bit much in a lot of ways. I'm just not sure why there aren't more comments like this. It is legitimate concern as to much ai imagery we may have to see on a regular basis if society embraces the tech without any reservations. There should be some kind of balance and ai generated stuff should be labelled and not common-place.
Just missing your two metre Insta360 selfie stick with Ace Pro banner for those selfie shots. Then you use the crop down to 4K for zooming back in. Edit: Got to 14 mins and you're doing that, but missing the banner lol.
