I wish he never left to be honest, his goal to win the league against Aston Villa and the fastest ever FA Cup Final goal against United .. so many memories equally as precious as the Aguerooooo moment 🥰 but I hope to GOD that Guardiola gives some time to McAtee and Bobb and don't repeat the same mistake like Palmer !!

Gündogan led all of LaLiga in chances created(97) last season. He's still playing at an elite level. Combined with the leadership & experience Ilkay brings. This is an awesome signing for Manchester City!

Guaranteed Gundo will get a lot of minutes. I do think some of the younger lads and Bernardo will play more early in the season, but back end of the season is going to be busy for Ilkay

Captain Clutch! I wonder if Kev will give him back the arm band. It wouldn't surprise me because KDB is such a top bloke. We've just found a player who will contribute 10 goals if needed. I hope he didn't sell his apartment in City Suites so him and Pep are still neighbours. Ilkay....made the scousers cry! 💙

I wouldn't over egg the "he wanted to come back to City" angle-Barca are totally and iredeemably screwed financially -they've sold all the "future rights" they can get away with to American Hedge funds and are struggling with the financing of the new stadium-Gundo was on £300k pw and they needed to offload him.Having said that ,on a free he could have gone to any of the big clubs and personally i thought he might have gone to Bayern but a return to City makes perfect sense-hopefully he'll play this weekend-great to have him back.

3:00 Barcelona just aren’t a big club anymore, they’ll always have a huge fan base etc but in terms of being a European juggernaught, they’re on the way to end up the same way Ajax did

@@travistarr9433 It’s not 2006 anymore, City are arguably already a bigger club than Barca, let alone in the coming years/decades. Being a “bigger club” is more than just history and fan base, it’s recent history, how good the club is in the present, the ability to attract world class players and coaches City’s fan base is now huge and growing exponentially every single year, the only thing City don’t have over a lot of other “big” clubs is a decorated history, which we are now building in the present By your logic, you must also think Lyon, Marsille, PSV, Porto are also currently bigger clubs than City

When talking spending, why do you never take into account the 300 million being spent on stadium enhancement and the hotel ? is this money magic am i missing something ?

It's not something that affects player sales or signings. So it's often overlooked. And I believe our owners and partners are paying for everything themselves, so there's no real reason to mention it in terms of spending.

I doesn't make alot of sense but apparently infrastructure isn't put into the same category as salaries and transfer 🤷 Alot of clubs like Barca, Everton who are known for having huge financial issues just build 2 amazing stadiums. Id say if your owners can afford then go for it, but the facts are alot of clubs obtained massive debts building their new stadiums. Atleast we're debt free/our owner could pay for everything.
