300k is around 10% of players. 1650 mmr was around 90-95k players by the end of season, so quite high for second worst rewards too

WHY do they always have to go right down to ZERO ??? For ffffs sake, leave us small investors a tiny chance to get some ROI ... at least a small daily!! Instead of stuffing the top ranks who make already a lot back...that sucks! WHY ón earth would we spend our precious time with this game if there is nothing in it for us??? ....total utter BS as you asked what i think aobut the changes! they payed far too much to the top players from the start and now make the late adapter pay for it!! Great breakdown - really enjoy your views. So my 2 cents I went from upset, disappointed to somewhere between frustrated and annoyed. I understand why this has to be done - but why sit and watch your game economy absolutely collapse Roman civilization style and do nothing about it. This should have been done at the sub 7c mark as it plummeted. I just don't understand the chatter about community and all that then make these epic one after another slap to the faces of the very people who made them billionaires. People paid big money for teams let's nerf it all and make them useless, lets reduce the apy for axs, and then we will make a system where the axis they paid 0.14 eth for and are now 9$ and they can release them for common land trinkets. as much as i hate the NO SLP in adventure mode. we actually need it.

this is really gonna hurt especially those at 800 mmr below means the time spent is not worth it, while this is done for the balancing of burn and mint, this is gonna take a long time and by then i wonder how many are still playing as we all know that axie infinity isn't the only nft game out there and i don't think the devs considered just how much SLP the players are holding right now and with the reduce in slp earned, there is no way a new player with a brain would invest in axie infinity which in turn, reduces the demand for axie as a manager, how will this affect your scholarship? will you still keep investing on scholars? are you going to remove scholars?

people should stop relying on Axie and learn to diversify.

Even if they STOP rewarding SLP, will it burn the 30+BILLION SLP in the circulation? NO! will it pump the price of SLP? NO! because of NO DEMAND....SKILLED? i dont need skill when im lucky! can draw card that i want and CRITZ will kill ya!

Couple this with a SLP buy back from the treasury and a breeding event and we're off for a moonshot.

Great discussion about the update but do you think more new players and investors (especially managers) will be attracted to come back or play again Axie if the possible amount of SLP that can gain per day is 5 - 10 (if in 800 - 1k MRR with 20 energy) and 30 - 50 (if in 1.1 to 1.3k with 20 energy)?

All the game need is slp burning mech.. this is saddening

I think its the right decision Overall no other way to defeat the bots. Im starting to play again!

It is still unclear what token/coin they going to use in burning mech.... is it 100% SLP????or 50% slp + 50% axs??? or other token they plan to release... if only they had been precise in their announcement... we can easily predict the price of SLP. The crypto market is still down... there is a little progress.. but still not enough... 3 things I am sure of... *There are still more SLP so far and devs are trying their BEST to reduce it. **Production of SLP will be minimize, if partnered with only 2-3 burning mech (for example upgraded axie body parts+breeding events)... SLP will become scarce. *** AXIE INFINITY is for longterm. In my opinion, minimum prediction of SLP will be at 0.06$ before end of 1Q2022... Hope I am wrong.

If they are going to do this massive change then they also have to implement a SLP Community buy back ! ,,They even said so in their chat .Lets see if they are brave enough to do this

wow amazing update sometimes people get to emotional euphoric when it’s good and depressed on a bear market like this one but you have to remember the stock market has a major affect on the crypto market if bitcoin would double from 69,000 to 120,000 instead of dropping how many people would be angry about the economics i follow axie for along time never seen a video with much emphasis on inflation till recently. ps actually where im from the wages are much lower than USA’s and i really liked axie i think it’s a really cool game so now is a good time to buy eth and start playing😄🤙🏽✊🏽

Another band aid solution. They should focus on how to burn slp or how the demand will increase, not limiting the supply. No one will play axie if your not earning from it. They always say its about enjoying the game, but its more than a game, to others its business same as the developers. And they are expecting returns

30cents SLP means1 breed would cost $300…… with the very low SLP on offer now, it isn’t going to happen because Axies are worth less now

If there are still investors willing to purchase meta axies so they can maintain high elo MMR for slp reward, maybe there is a change. But as what i forsee, it will do more harm than good. 🤣

It won't fix SLP problem, unfortunately. It's a drastic decision to "save" SLP in the short term. Minting will be much higher than burned. It will stabilizes around 0.01/0.015$.
