I honestly thought I understood this game, on a 6 game with streak with over a 4.5 k/d ratio but after watching your videos I clearly wasn’t taking full advantage of my units
I love European doctrine because of the tank destroyers. I like to run them with motorized infantry(mechanized in desert and open area countries), and with AFV. Together with there buffs they are a VERY potent combination. Expensive tho, but potent. Plus both tank destroyers and AFV are air mobile at tech 2 not 3 unlike the MBT, not to mention far cheaper than MBT
That is fairly good against ground armies, but leaves you vulnerable to air attacks. The AFVs have some defence against air, but tank destroyers dont. Just going for MBTs means you can upgrade them further, faster, and cheaper. So motorised infantry, MBTs and then maybe some mobile anti-air defences would propably be a more wellrounded stack. You do you, tho.
@@J0lzi true but my play style I run air superiority fighters pretty heavy so I usually have fighter wings controlling the airspace so aerial threats are not much a threat to me usually
@@stephenmartin5766 oh ok, well that makes sense. Then the only threat would be artillery, and tbh artillery is a threat to anything on the ground. Only way to get rid of them is air, if the enemy is smart enough.
@@J0lzi yeah, only once have I come across a threat that was very difficult to get rid of and almost destroyed me, 10 stack of rocket trucks and 5 stack of SAM launchers right behind. Really wasn’t much of anything I could do. Only survived thanks to ally’s. But now I usually run superiority fighters, tank destroyers, mobile infantry, missiles, SAMs, radars, rocket trucks, and sometimes special forces, bombers, and helicopters as well. Hindsight 20/20 attack choppers would’ve countered his build very well, was a lesson learned
Hey I’m somewhat new to the game in that I only have 3 wins but can u talk more about doctrines and what units are good for what continents. And best unit combinations. Thanks btw the best guy for info I have found on the internet keep up the great work
Just mix all of them and 1 motorized infantry and boom your enemy capital is in danger (if you have enough resources actually) For the western doctrine maybe using AFV is more better, AFV is good enough at the game, for amphibious i don't really need those, because my attack is depending at surprise attack, and if your enemy has navy, built navy to counter them, for MBT nah, they we're good enough, im using those tank when im still mid early time, for anti tank, well i don't really seeing them very useful, im using air strike to destroy enemy armored, for recon it's good at early game so maybe producing some at early game is good
I’d like to see armour tips on being the east if the afv sucks for them. Do east people not use afv and move right from recon to mbt? Is the amphibious vehicle a good alternative?
Welp i win as myanmar with eastern doctrine I do find amphibious with basic infantry is the one for me. I might try mechanised infantry and amphibious vehicle in other match
Ranged support units, aircraft such as strike fighters and attack choppers is also good. Even infantry mortars. But tank destroyers can also be a decent option.
The creators of CoN are breaking the game more and more, so I play less. after an update last year that took away one city with components. Instead of adding one city, they took it, so there are even fewer units in the game and it should be the other way around. The start was boring and now it has become even slower and forces players to play for money. 1. the development of the country at the beginning of the game is even slower 2. the number of units, which was small, is even smaller 3. The game forces players to use money more often The fourth update broke what man had time to get used to. 4. make changes that cause bugs - why change something that is good, especially if it can't be improved :P 5. map 2050 for 124 players is graphically underdeveloped, and above all strategically in terms of sea logistics - the roads on which ships move are often hopeless labyrinths that prevent a normal naval battle. Not only that, the map does not even show where the shallows are and where the sea is full. This map, despite an interesting idea, sucks :P and there are a lot of golden players :P 6. the amount of points to get 1850 is so small that the player ends the game before he can develop it properly - TOTALLY NO SENSE 7. The magnification of the map should be greater when zooming out and zooming in. Later in the game it's very annoying, in Call of War they did it much better. 8. It would be nice if each country was different and had extra bonuses 9. they should eliminate this child icon (advisers who say nothing specific, only disturb and annoy) This strategy has its glory years behind it and unfortunately it is slowly moving towards call of war :P (apparently maybe because a year earlier some employees were delegated from call of war to CoN and here we have a weak effect ... :P ) I'm going to play this winter anyway, but I've stopped taking the game seriously. :)
I would like to point out that most players can get to 1850 from day 40-50 on 4x speed maps which is plenty of time to develop properly. You can see a whole continent when fully zoomed out. It's only 2 mouse drags away from another. If each country had special bonuses it would make already great countries flat out OP. They take a component city from a country. Tons of countries only have 1 component city and do just fine(I almost exclusively play African countries with 5 cities for the challenge and end up taking 1st or 2nd when the game ends). Nevertheless CoN does have its fair share of bugs.
