CONFRONTED by Angry Neighbor, DID he ASSAULT me? 

That neighbor knew they were having a rough time and called the city to complain about the yard? Then complained when it was getting cleaned up. What a colossal jerk. Maybe he should have helped them by mowing their lawn rather than call the city on them.

I was angry at the neighbor at first. People do mow their yards during the day. However, for him to say it was good as long as you were not making money made me if angrier. In todays world everyone wants to think about themselves first. That is exactly why what you do is so important and appreciated. God bless you.

It takes a real man to say he is sorry - all power to him for the strength of humility, and the decency to bring out a drink.

I use to work 3rd shift for many years never once did I complain about anyone mowing their yards. And what does it matter if he's paid or not paid it's a job that neighbor needs to be ashamed of his actions.

It was refreshing to see the neighbor apologize and show appreciation towards you. Especially to witness him showing compassion and regret for his previous behavior. I thought that was a very nice exchange at the end.

I've worked 3rd shift and always liked the sounds of lawn maintenance. I tend to fall asleep whether it's the mower, leaf blower, etc. However I usually always slept with earplugs or white noise earbuds. The only reason to complain is if direct pounding on the building you're in is jolting you awake.

I love it…. He made an official complaint about the yard but complains when the yard is finally getting tended to. If someone was getting paid or not, how else was the yard going to get done?? The nerve of people, thankfully he apologized!!

You handled that really well. It was clear you're not used to someone coming up and poking you like that. I mean, he apologized immediately, but he should never have started that with you. These type of neighbours don't seem to grasp the fact that having a house with an overgrown, untidy yard in the neighbourhood brings down the value of their properties. The minute the yard/garden is cleaned up the value of the properties in the neighbourhood goes up.

Man, you handled yourself far better than I would have! 😡Somebody comes up behind me and jabs my shoulder to get my attention, they'd have been flat on the ground with my startled reaction...Trimmer still runnin near his face. I don't know about where you guys live, but here we have noise ordinance here in Lakewood, Washington that says we can run equipment etc from 7 am to 9pm. That is the normal "work day" so if anybody has a problem with that, like several of your viewers said, the city suggests foam earplugs and running a fan to help with the noise. He sure took it down a notch when you told him you weren't earning a dime from what you were doin. THEN He had the audacity to admit he KNEW about the owner's problems but reported him anyway. ((insert several cuss words here!)) It shouldn't matter if you are doin it for a paycheck or out of the goodness of your heart... newsflash... the world doesn't revolve around him. Ugh people like that irk the crap outta me. He came back to apologize and got you something to drink.. you were kind enough to shake his hand and thank him for his kindness. I hope he did honestly feel badly. Sometimes it takes someone holdin a mirror up so that we can see our ugly hearts. This is the first video I've seen of yours and I will be watchin more. Neighbors can’t stop you from mowing In the day time. CANT make noise after 10 where I live. People get so jealous when they know you are doing something free for some one..

the neighbor apologized after he found out he was doing the work for free. He then came back with a drink later for the guy. He made a mistake, apologized, and brought the guy doing the work a drink. I'm giving him credit for realizing his mistake.

3 inches of dirt on the sidewalk is what happens when the owners fall for the idea that they should top dress 1/4" of topsoil every year, and they do it for many years. Now they need someone to come in and scrape several cubic yards of topsoil and haul it away.

What irked me the most, aside from the neighbour's whole attitude, is the fact he walked up behind you and tapped you on the shoulder while you're operating machinery. ALWAYS approach someone head on to get their attention. If that's not possible, then wait to the side and wave your hand or yell.

In my 85 yrs I find people are just hard hearted and cruel. Couldn't the community have a picnic while cleaning up this property? I bet many of the neighbors go too church every Wed and Sun.

Could you imagine, trying to cleanup these overgrown properties AT NIGHT? Then even more people sleeping, and the types of weirdos you encounter? Unless the homeowner refuses help, ANY neighbor could have mowed BEFORE the grass was a foot tall.

I see this in alot of these videos. I work third shift for a decade and never have I thought people need to change their actions so I can sleep.

I work nights, and not once, did I expect my neighbors to change their life to suit my schedule!!

Neighbor Dude was downright rude! Not everyone works 3rd shift. I've worked all shifts. I don't expect the whole neighborhood to stop because of the shifts I work daily. Other people have lives to live.

Losing your job doesnt mean u cant mow your yard and keep it neat looking until you depart.

Next time you are confronted. Tell them you're sorry for the noise, but I got work to do. Tell Him To Put In Some Earplugs. Its not against the law to work or help someone out. He should have been generous enough to offer a helping hand.

I work 3rd shift. I have never complained about people making too much noise. Yes, it can be annoying but that’s just part of working the shift. He’s aware of his neighbor being on tough times and reports them instead of trying to help out? Never come from behind like that. Good way to get punched or worse. In my opinion, that neighbor is just a douche bag.

When did he expect people to mow their yards? When he's at work and everyone else is sleeping.

No one can stop you from mowing your yard during daylight hours. Especially with city restrictions for yards. The neighbor should wear earplugs.

That's why you get a premium working the 3rd shift. He's probably mad that the sun rises.

Pretty much any city you are allowed to mow or do general yard work that might be noisy during daylight hours.

No city should be fining someone who is already getting foreclosed upon. There needs to be more people like this guy in the world. I once had a city douche stop and tell me I was shoveling my snow wrong, he got a shovel full of snow threw his car window and never bothered me again, the shovel was going to meet his head the next time. Some people just feel the need to be an asshole, if you’re not stopping to help, shut up and keep moving.

The angry neighbor was the one who reported that poor family to the city. Instead of helping his neighbor, he gave them more grief.

At least the angry guy came back after he cooled off and apologized, he brought a cold drink with a lid and straw as well, very thoughtful thing to do for someone working outside.

Doesn’t matter if you were making money or not. You are legally allowed to clean up a yard and use equipment during the day. His work schedule is not your problem.

Tip from an ex-swing shift worker: invest in foam earplugs and have a box fan running in the bedroom.

If you need to sleep during the day, that’s YOUR problem. It’s ridiculous to think the entire community needs to be quiet all day for daytime sleepers.

He didn't like the eyesore nor hear the "noise" mowing this yard. I never heard of, or seen anyone doing yard work at night. This is a one-day job. So, put up with it for a few hours.

That annoyed man did approach you with a bit of anger, but quickly changed his tune and apologized, even bringing you a cold drink and apologizing again. That takes a lot of humility and it's not easy for most men to do that. He clearly just needs some sleep. You did a great job!

When i was injured, i had people knocking on my door asking if i needed help with my lawn. Watchibg someone get evicted and their house taken, and lost their job, what kind of neighbors did this family have. God bless you sir.

I used to work 3rd shift, or graveyard shift as we called it, quite a bit and what Captain Grouch needs is blacked out windows and sound deadening in his room. The world does not stop because you are trying to sleep.

Ugh, makes me so mad... families are struggling to just live. Such hard times for good people. The mortgage companies should walk in their clients shoes. My heart goes out to all those in this situation 💔. I have 30 acres in Virginia, I've allowed numerous families shelter and a beginning. This home is absolutely lovely, tlc needed but heck they all need a face lift. THANK YOU for adding some love to this home, the family will see a blessing, and remember a real lived home
