As a vocalist, you engage your lower stomach instead of controlling anything with the throat. I’ve gotten cramps before from practicing. Also I’ve been through both military and show style marching hell.
Olaf, you legend. Your violin doctoring is mesmerising and your knowledge of the instrument is truly deep...a really fascinating and awesome skill. Plus of course you’re a funny, talented, interesting and nice guy with a knack for holding an audience with a story. Perfect. Hope to see you explaining your Lutherian knowledge in many more TwoSet videos :)
5:00 Eddy: Hai, how are you? Olaf: Good good thanks, how are you? Eddy: Good, how are you? wtf eddy, just goes to show how socially awkward musicians are
the beginning just like how you all when practicing : "but before that...." *turn on the console "but before that...." *enjoy a cup of coffee and then we all wondered where our practice time goes...
@@bobbobber4810 Yeah, and what should really send alarm bells for u to go test for coronavirus is if your breathing is comprimized because it affects your lungs. So sneazing isn't rly a signal of corona, people need to educate themselves and calm the fuck down. I just hope Eddie and Bret dont have to deal with racist shits cos tbh thats worse than the actual virus
Wow, I'm surprised you let Editor-San out of your basement! They must be unable to cope with the outside world by now on their own, and needed support from both of you just to make it to the coffee shop!
I feel like it would look better if the frame (and the lenses) were slightly wider horizontally. Also, bonus: wider field of vision. Coming from someone who can't wear small glasses due to dizziness and headaches (the prescription was correct, it was just the size of lenses) and wears huge glasses :)
I was thinking that myself... lol Like: Put a human baby on the ground and step on it. Brett&Eddy: '-' Put a human baby on violin and step on it. Brett&Eddy: 🤯😱😭💔🎻
Okay hear me out 3 mill: editor san face reveal 4 mill: Eddy Sibelius Drop 5 mill: Original Piece by Brett and Eddy This comment is getting a lot of likes but i didnt take into account how fast their channel is growing so maybe they can space it out? Like 5 > 7 > 10 ???
I mean, if they reach a certain number the growth might accelerate, giving them less time to do all those things so maybe the increments should be a little bigger?
Editor-san might not be comfortable with his/her face revealed to 3 mil people though. I'd love to see him/her but not if they're uncomfortable with it
All good, except the last one. Maybe if they just rework a piece, and change it for their needs, but one thing Neither Brett nor Eddy is or will be is a good composer. Maybe fair, but never brilliant.
Angela Dominique Really though? CAN he get cuter? Is that even possible? I always thought if he gets lasik surgery he would still have to have glasses because it puts the cute factor up to 10 to the trillionth power.
for comparison approximately 454 g = 1 lb av, 2.54 cm = 1 in, 1 liter = 1 qt, 1.6 km = 1 mile, 1 m = 1 yd 1 erg = as much force involved when a house-fly does a push-up,
When you have a Virus disease (Eddie edition): LVL1: Make a trip to Brisbane LVL2: Lift some weigt LVL3: Make jokes about your heart beat and dying and Corona quarantine LVL4: Look Asian and sneeze in TAXI LVL5: Do it all together
Same! Right before that, Brett says they are “600 km in the Swedish nature” and I was like, damn, how treacherous is the Swedish wilderness that Eddy needs to sling a rifle? 😉
I really love how Brett and Eddy make Editor-san a big part of all their videos. and I especially love Editor-san's commentary, even when I don't agree, it's funny XD Love you, Editor-san!!
I'll be honest. At the coffee shop part I tried really hard to see editor-san's face through Brett's glasses reflection. Glad I got that off my chest, that's been weighing me down for 5min or so phew
The name of the piece in the background that starts around when they are having coffee is the 4th movement of Mendelssohn's Symphony no.3, which I will be performing at the end of May in a school orchestra. I was a bit surprised at hearing it and kind of glad to hear something I am working on now in a Two set’s video
not the first time though... but always a good tease. hahaha editor-san did reveal his/her finger heart in response to a gratituous comment from brett and eddy for one of the ling ling 40 hours videos. :)
Im so happy to find out that Brett and Eddy are genuine friends who hangout and play games together like this. I used to think they're just working partners.
The science that goes on behind art always fascinates me. Like when I was in college (I got my BFA in Studio Art), everytime my teachers pointed out principles of anatomy, or color theory, or how our brains perceive things, I mean, my mind was blown every time! I don't know anything about music, but it's crazy to me how much science and language happens with it. That a small wooden instrument could hold so much weight, all because of its design... just wow.
As a pleb that's learning the guitar, I can safely say that music theory will also blow your God damn mind, even at the basic level of learning. Like, learning till you get to the circle of fifths is really not that deep down the music theory rabbit hole, but man does your brain do several backflips by the time you get there!
i agree. cold brew is serious stuff. simple, no frills, just straight up pure cold caffeine. it's for strong people who doesn't have time for bullshit 😂 editor-san, hang in there.
I was so uncomfortable watching the weights being put on, but Olaf was so steadfast and after he explained that the string tension bit, I actually was very proud of my little hollow wood companion for taking the weight for so many years
I both love and hate the fact that I live within about 10 minutes of Olafs studio, meaning every time TwoSet does a video there I'm so close and yet so far from meeting these top blokes. Love you guys👍👍
I just saw the title and clicked immediately... Edit: I didn't had a chance to watch the previous video with Olaf and just realized that I imagined him as Olivander from Harry Potter in my mind 😅
@@AskOlaftheViolinmaker Same with recorders: two years ago I played on an copy of a Bressan alto recorder, tuned at 415. The recorder started to sing and dance in my hands and I played different from my normal playing, much happier and lightly. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to buy it but we were definitively meant for each other, this recorder told me!
Imagine a strad being featured on a hydraulic press channel... RU-vidr: "Hey guys! Today we're gonna put a Stradivarius under the- huh?" //Angry mob charges in with pitchforks and torches//
I don't think, that too many folks would give a damn.. Most people nowadays don't know, AND do not APPRICIATE cultural treasure anymore. Kids here in Europe know all about Cardi B and her WAP song, but do not know the European musical heritage. This is why it's CRUCIAL, that children are taught about what is IMPORTANT culture, and what is not.
editor-san is just standing there filming- like when you're parents/parent are talking to someone but you cant leave so you just stand there waiting for them to finish
5:00 Eddy: How are you? Olaf: Hello! Good, thanks, how are you? Eddy: Good, how are you? ...if that isn't me i don't know what is. We're with you, Eddy.
As a percussionist, one of my friends once told me about a time when somebody sat on a timpani breaking the head and denting the shell. That's my worst nightmare.
I actually love this kinda content too! getting coffee, playing games, (and of course) practicing~ pls consider to have an episode of "a day in life of twoset" :D
