Yes, Michael Cooper still sounds the same. He went solo back in the day, but still today, they continue to remain together as a whole band. AWESOME! 👍🏽💯👍🏽
Yes, @SC: I was floored when this gem was released, and I'd learned that it was by ConFunkShun, whom I'd only known for the Kool and the Gang ensemble funk of their huge hit, *"Ffun".* Like Kool, and *very* few others, Confunkshun, as shown here, were able to extend their career by reinventing, and revamping their sound. Good on them, right ?
If anyone in the touring business is reading this, can we get a conjunction, Ohio players, brass construction, Average white band, Kool and the Gang, cameo, parliament funkadelic tour!!!
Amen!!! Bruno Mars (Silk Sonic) is definitely trying to bring back Old School R&B. They do an amazing job covering Love’s Train. Check it out when you get a chance.
@@livelikeitshows1802 Well got a few youngin's ticked off, we did a remake comparison between Silk Sonic and Dru Hill's 90's version... Told em the Hill's vocals was good but da music....MEHHH!!! and Silk Sonic's version got dynamics too 🤦🏿♂Da youngin's had some Yosemite Sam level of " I H8 U!!! " after that😆🤦🏿♂🤣🤣🤣
I great love Bruno Mars & Anderson Paak/ Silk Sonic, but nothing can touch Con Fun Shun' version. This is one of my all time jams. I recorded this the 1st time I heard it on the radio and kept it, and that was unheard of for me, but this jam is undeniable!🔥
@Muzik Michael Bruno did a good job but absolutely NO WAY COULD HE EVER COME ANYWHERE AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION , nice job Bruno but for me it will ALWAYS AND FOREVER WILL BE THE ORIGINAL VERSION, YEAH BABY 🥰❤️💯👍👏
Michael Cooper has the ultimate funk voices of all time, just saw them live a couple of months ago, after all these years they still sound the exact same, I have seen them about 10 times over the years and they never disappoint, one of my all time favorite singers and groups.
Old school to the mack. Music will never sound this good unless you have 8 track or the vinyl for the turntable. I wouldn't trade the era of music I lived through for nothing. The best ever!!!!
Michael Cooper is the greatest. After all these years, they still sound fantastic. One of the best bands yet performing. Michael's voice is still strong and they all look great.
Now this is called!!! Music! How can we bring this back!...oh I forgot! .. youngsters wouldn't understand about Romance but thank goodness we still have them on tape
Silk Sonic brought it back, and Con Funkshun got paid and is still getting paid. in an interview, they said that they are getting calls from venues they have never heard of.
Yoooo this is my shit!! I blast this like once a moth on repeat. To see that this is a recent performance makes me happy AF!! Shouts to these gentlemen!! Great post!
This is classic, ageless, soulful, funky, unforgettable, gets into my bone marrow and makes me feel sooooo good R&B 💛 🖤💛 Thank you ConFunkShun and Silk Sonic for introducing me to this song. You are perfection! 😎 Love from Down Under 🦘💖
Con Funk Shun is still poppin it!! They were incredible!! This band has lasted the test of time by the Soul and great instrumental tunes. Try to find the album LOVESHINE and you'll see what I mean!!😃..Vallejo Proud!!
That's the way it goes, on love's train Wow, that song brings so many great memories of good times. She said, sugar, honey, I really want to be with you, ok ok let em do what they do, on love's train.💯💯💯😉😉😉😉🕑🕑🕑
I luv being right about the truth!!!! I recently told a youngster that IDGAF what you say but this Michael Cooper's song and can't nobody deliver it better than him!! the original singer!! Bruno mars did a great job, but he will never bring that soulful Twang that Mr. Cooper delivers to this song cause this song is from his soul and it's the truth because it actually happened. Facts................................................
Silk Sonic wasn't trying to replace it; they were giving "Homage," which is special honor or respect shown publicly. How many artists paid "Homage" to Little Richard and James Brown when they died? I can't think of one Black artist that did; Bruno pays respect to James Brown in all of his shows. I saw Con Funkshun in an interview that Silk Sonic for waking up people to their music; in fact, the band said they were getting calls from venues they had never heard of and that business was picking up. If you made this comment here to Con Funkshun about Silk Sonic, ConFunkShun would have gone off on you.
@@bertc2314 Hey you sound offended here in your reply, so maybe I can say that you. actually interpreted my comment the wrong way. I love Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic.... And have no problem with their rendition of "Loves Train". If you were coming up back in the day when this song was on vinyl then you would understand that remakes sometimes brings a song new life. Micheal Cooper has this song stamped with his vocals Performing this song ....paying homage had nothing to do with my creative and musical ear(s)!
Bruno Mars never reaches out to these folks who gifted him his drip and Anderson is now guilty as charged. Everyone is missing a chance at dope historic recordings and shows.
You know sometimes when I hear a live performance I am not so impressed. But this is certainly NOT the case with Confuncksion and forgive me if I spelled it wrong. I still and always will love this band. Good times 🥰🥰🥰❣
Love Train! 1982 I'm 24yrs old and 5 years on active duty in the army already. Stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. (June 1980 - May 1983). I bought their 'Touch Album' in Aschaffenburg Germany (October 1977 - June 1980. Off that album. Their song (I Just Can't Say Goodbye) was my song. I bought their "Candy Album" during my second tour too Germany (May 1983 - April 1987). Off the Candy Album (Let Me Put Love On Your Mind). Absolutely my No1 favorite group. Con Funk Shun kept those hits coming in the late 70s and 80s. Classics like: Tears In My Eyes (is a slow dance special) Straight From The Heart Promise You Love Con Funk Shun ballads are priceless
